Publisher's summary

You might think I had it all - a career I loved, a supportive family, the Nixon metabolism but not the Nixon ears, and a salary that supported my lavish taste in designer shoes, fine wine, and lacy lingerie - but I had no one to share it with.

Until the day I ran into him - my one-night stand from college with the crooked smile, let's-get-out-of-here eyes, and dirty, dirty mouth. Cute and cocky then, today Levi Brooks is six feet four inches of hot bearded fantasy. A sexy single dad with broad shoulders, strong hands, and a fantastically big...heart. (I mean, it's massive. And generous. And it pumps so hard.... Um. Sorry. Lost my place.)

Being a good father means everything to him, but he's keeping me at a distance because he thinks I deserve someone better - a man who can give me more time, more attention, more of himself. He doesn't believe he could ever be enough, but he's wrong. He's everything.

Contains mature themes.

A SWEET, FUN, HOT & ROMANTIC LOVE STORY

Jillian is at her sister's wedding... watching and feeling the love that her two sister's have with their partners and she can't help but be a wee bit jealous and envious of what they clearly have. She's a 30 yr old Paediatric Doctor who fantasizes and dreams of finding love but in the meantime her battery operated best friend, and the thoughts of her College one time hookup with a drool-worthy guy, will just have to do. Then she turns around and crashes into a man mountain... a handsome sexy man mountain who she's intimately familiar with - Levi her College hook up.... and, just like that,11 years melted away.

Instant connection, instant chemistry and everything between them clicked straight off and it isn't long before they're whispering sweet words and getting hot n heavy.... but Levi, apart from being an Architect, has an 8 yr old son with autism who is the center of his life - leaving only one night a week for Jillian. At first it's all flirty and fine with sexting, dirty talk and stolen sex filled nights but, after a while, it's obvious to Jillian that Levi has a lot of insecurities and, no matter what she does, he is determined to keep the two parts of his life separate. Jillian tries to give Levi time and be understanding but after the intensity, the passion and the "I love you's" doesn't change a thing and Levi still keeps her apart from his 'other' life she finally reaches a crossroads.... and she knows that she can't stay on the road that leads to nowhere.

Loveable main characters who are, despite everything, totally devoted to each other, interesting and emotional plot that has depth and growth, great secondary characters made up of both families and all the up-to-date news from Skylar and Sebastian (book 1) and Natalie and Miles (book 2). This was a bitter-sweet romance, two people head over heels about each other but circumstances and a Father's misplaced insecurities kept them from reaching the HEA until......? Dual POV's, great narration, sweet character driven plot and could be a standalone.

Worth a credit? If the Happy Crazy Love series really has to end then what better way to do it than with this sexy 5 star listen created by it's gifted Author Melaine Harlow and the icing on the already delicious cake was the talented voices of Nelson Hobbs and Lucy Malone. Very creditworthy - as are books 1 and 2.

Some sort of amazing

The last of the sisters, Gillian, is the center of this book. Gillian is a doctor that rarely has time for anything. She reunites with a past hook up who has an autistic child that makes him incredibly busy as well.

This book tackles so many struggles that parents face... Especially when thinking about bringing a new person into your family. Then you add in an autistic child and it's complicated.

I absolutely loved it. I read all in one sitting. Couldn't stop.

I WANT MORE, MORE, MORE!

I have fallen head over heels for this series. I love these characters, the storylines and all the 'real' that Melanie Harlow is bringing to the forefront. I adored Levi and Jillian, and I'm totally about to listen to this series again.

Jillian Finally Finds Her Soul Mate

I loved that all these sisters/stories ended up being a friends to lovers or 2nd chance romance type story. I also really loved that this one had a bit of a twist, kind of like the first book, in the respect that it had a character with a condition that isn't typically acknowledgment or created in romance book characters.

Jillian (literally) runs into an old college one night stand at her sister's wedding. Levi happens to be Sebastian's architect and also happens to be Jillian's hot supply closet hookup from college. Levi is a single dad to 8 year old Scotty, who has autism. Scotty's mother pretty much abandoned him and left when he was 2 years old. This left Levi with internal abandonment issues when it comes to getting too close to anyone. He is 100% devoted to caring for Scotty and does not have time to be a good boyfriend, but he cannot deny the intense connection that he and Jillian have.

They attempt a casual relationship until Jillian wants to be let into more of his life. He hesitates bringing her into Scotty's life for fear of another person leaving Scotty. They both love each other and she wants to stop feeling like just his Girl Friday or secret part of his normal, daily life. This causes tension and issues and it's up to Levi to get his head out of his arse and decide if he can face his issues head on.

This was a great end to a great series. I especially loved the incorporation of real life scenarios with conditions such as OCD and Autism and the life choices and challenges that arise from them. I will definitely be checking out more from Ms. Harlow.

A romance with attachments

I know I put three stars for story, it was good, but I think it could have been better.

Let’s start off by saying the portrayal of Levi as the single dad of a special needs (autistic) child was pretty on point. I have some experience with this subject and felt that Melanie Harlow did an excellent job with it.

The story is basically a second chance with a couple that hooked up one night many years ago in college. Jillian is now a doctor and Levi is a full time single dad with a job that allows him the freedom to care for his son.

Their reunion is filled with memories and their attraction strong. My issue was with how Levi chose to deal with things. He definitely had walls, but there’s only so many times I could deal with Jillian holding out. She has the patience of a saint. I still liked how fully aware she was about this package deal. You don’t see that a lot with parents that have autistic kids. She was all in.

It’s just Levi made it an issue a little too much for me.

Nelson Hobbs and Lucy Malone with great. I haven’t listened to a lot of their narrations, but they did well. Enjoyed them quite a bit.

Older sister gets her fantasy man!

Now this is the sister whose book I'd read before! Jillian is a successful pediatrician. She is also single and with everyone around her settling down (especially since the sisters are so close), she feels like she's missing out.

At Sebastian and Skylar's wedding, she encounters someone she hasn't seen in years. And she definitely has not forgotten him.

Jillian and Levi had a steamy one night stand in college. And the chemistry is still there. Their romance is whirlwind but eventually they hit a wall. Jillian is ready for Levi and his son in her life but Levi has to let her into his live fully not just part time.

Enjoyed this second chance romance. Sweet, steamy, a little rocky, but in the end very happy.

Love the Nixon sisters and their parents as well as the love and camaraderie they all share.

Nelson and Lucy's narration has definitely won me over.

Love a single dad romance!

Yep, this book is still fantastic. I did a little read/listen combo and was happy with the narrators. They did a good job of bringing Levi and Jillian to life. But let's be honest, any time you can picture Franggy as your leading man, you're going to enjoy the story.

And trust me, Levi is a sexy single dad--one you want to go home with. You want to see how it goes, you want more, and you want it all. Because he's sweet and caring and he puts that little boy of his first and there is just something so unbelievably sexy about a man with a child.

Jillian is perfect for Levi and his son, Scotty. She's a pediatrician, she's kind and patient and loving. She's understanding. And she's gorgeous. And she just wants to find the man for her. How could she have predicted her Pine Sol from years past would come back to haunt her?!

You're going to like this book. You'll want to sit down and read it all at once because it's sexy and fun and sweet.

Sometimes kids are seen and not heard

Jillian wondered when and if she would have that chance to be happy. Both her younger sisters found love and even a new baby was coming. At her sister's wedding she find something more than the normal family/friends questions of why she has not settled down yet. She finds one man she never thought she would see again, Levi Brooks. Mr. Pine-Sol was every bit as devastating. He was even sexier with that beard. But there were a few things that should have given Jillian pause. She was excited at the prospects of having the connection with someone. I found she valued herself important a little late in the game. She was so willing to take the scraps he gave and almost lost herself. Levi was still getting his head in the game when Jillian just said that was enough. Jillian and Levi had a relationship that was almost one-side because of the fears that Levi harbored. There was opportunity to see things from various viewpoints and see that there was some truth on both sides.

I found this one featured a kid but we rarely seen Scotty. He was an intricate part of this romance but we saw little of him. He was his dad's pride but more from words and thoughts. We find this one has a child but not one that takes on a dominate role. It was interesting as the developing connection with Scotty and his dad and then the other characters was played out.

As before Nelson and Lucy did a good job adding the flavor of voices for the characters. The audio was smooth and sound good.

Beautiful story!

I cannot get enough of this series and is sad there are no more sisters! This book touched so many emotions, listening to it in the car, I even had to pull out the tissues! Jillian and Levi met years ago at a college party and hooked up in a closet(and what a line he used to get her there!). Fast forward 11 years later at Skylar and Sebastian's wedding, the literally bump into each other. Instant chemistry again. Life has changed Levi, he is now a single dad of an autistic son. He feels that to be a good father, he needs to give his full attention to Scottie and has real difficulty figuring out where Jillian fits in. I loved this story. Hearing the challenges that Levi faces with his son, and how he deals with them on a daily basis is a struggle and a blessing that Melanie Harlow portrays throughout the book. It is refreshing to have characters in novels deal with real life issues like this. I also enjoyed the interaction of Jillian's sisters and their spouses/boyfriends. While this could be read as a stand alone, it is fun to relive the previous books a little and have the history of them woven into the story. This story will take you through every emotion and bring you to a beautiful epilogue with the entire family.

Lucy Malone and Nelson Hobbs are one of the best narrating dual POV teams. They are incredible with the pace of their dialogue and can capture the emotion of each character, capturing your heart and placing it right into the story. You can't help but listen!
