Fun, Flirty and Absolutely Delightful

The Proposal is an absolute delight!!! Renn and Blakely are so adorable and this heartfelt, flirty story was such a fun read. I LOVED it!!

The tension and flirty banter between Renn and Blakely was perfection. They had always had an undeniable chemistry but been afraid too act on it. Once they finally gave into the attraction between them, sparks were flying off the pages.

I loved how these two tackled their issues together and really communicated their feelings for the most part. Their chemistry was felt in their every interaction, but you could also see the feelings underneath their flirtations.

I also listened to the audio of this title and it was just as much fun as reading it. John Lane voiced Renn and his deep voice lent itself nicely to bringing Renn to life. Avery Caris was a new narrator to me and I loved her portrayal of Blakely. Both had me completely immersed in the story and made me fall in love with it all over again.

Add in a surprise that will add to the delight of this book and The Proposal is not to be missed. It’s a lighthearted, feel good read with just enough angst to keep it fresh and give you all the feels. I hope to see these two again because I absolutely loved most of Renn’s family and am keeping my fingers crossed that his siblings will be getting stories in the future.

Great!!

Another great book by Adriana Locke! I was hooked from the very beginning and didn’t want to stop this this one! If you love brothers best friend, sports and a wedding that isn’t remembered you’re going to love this book! The chemistry between Renn and Blakely was amazing! I found myself chuckling through parts and feeling the feels. I really enjoyed the narrators in this audio. This is a standalone, but I am hoping we get more from the Brewer family!

One of the best couples I've read

I'm fairly new to Adriana Locke, but the more I read (or listen to), the more impressed I am. The Proposal is my latest listen, and it's everything I'm coming to expect from this author. This one is packed full of charm and wit, and Ren and Blakely are easily one of the best couples I've read in a long time. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I found myself feeling a little jealous of Blakely - because Ren! OMG, this guy is the total package. He's sweet, he's sexy, and he has just the right amount of arrogance to be sure of himself without being a jerk. Seriously, if you're gonna have a book boyfriend, Ren is The One! Unfortunately for us, he's all about Blakely, which just adds to his appeal. That said, I have to say that Blakely is a great character in her own right. She's sassy and full of fire even as she's still trying to figure out where she wants her life to go.
Now, take all of that and put it in the ever-capable hands (or should I say mouths) of John Lane and Avery Caris for the narration. Adriana Locke couldn't have chosen better for the voices of these characters. Avery Caris brings out all of Blakely's fire, and John Lane has the perfect sexy voice for Ren.
So, I may still be playing catch-up with this author's work, but it's safe to say that this is another great read and/or listen. It's just right for a weekend or vacation read or even a fun road trip with Lane and Caris along for the ride. This one is easily in my top ten reads for the year.

The Proposal

The Proposal is a classic Adrianna Locke book with interesting characters, sweet and steamy moments, fun family moments, and lots of humor and fun.

Blakely and Renn's unexpected Vegas wedding quickly turns into a marriage of convenience. They have so much chemistry between them from the beginning, though, and it was easy to see they had a deeper connection than expected.

I like Adrianna's writing and storytelling style, and she did such a great job getting me invested in the characters and their story. I couldn't wait to see Blakely and Renn's marriage of convenience grow into a real relationship. There were some secondary characters who I liked a lot as well, and I hope we get their stories as well!

**Update: I also got to listen to this in audio and it was great! Both the narrators were new to me and I thought they did a great job bringing the story and characters to life.

Steamy, heartfelt and swoony

Okay… I’m going to need this to be a series, the Brewers are awesome. “The Proposal” is a steamy, flirty and heartfelt accidental marriage in Vegas that captured me from the first chapter.

Blakely is in Vegas with her best friend for her 30th and is determined to have an unforgettable trip. She wasn’t planning on her brother and his best friend, Renn Brewer, to crash the party. Renn and Blakely have had a chemistry the whole time they’ve known each other but have never acted on it. But too much tequila and a night alone, they wake up married. Renn has a “good guy” clause with his new rugby team so he convinces Blakely to give their marriage 90 days. To sweeten the deal, he makes a proposal she can’t refuse.

Oh my goodness, that was a steamy sports romance and I loved every page of it. Blakely and Renn captured me right from the beginning and I couldn’t stop reading. Their chemistry and attraction was coming off the pages. Renn is so sweet, deliciously dirty and protective over Renn even before their accidental marriage. Blakely is genuine, kind and matches Renn’s energy perfectly. I loved these two together and their happy ending made me smile so big. Fingers crossed we get a Brewer siblings series!

I loved listening to Avery Caris and John Lane bring this story to life. Avery’s performance was so passionate bringing all of the emotions that Blakely went through. John was great as Renn who is so genuine and protective. They both were the perfect choice for this audiobook.

Ren and Blakely sizzle

Loved the book, its a friends to lovers, accidental marriage of convenience story.

Blakely is in Vegas for her 30th birthday. She wants to do one last hurrah before having to be a grown up and settle down. She wants to settle down with a nice guy, learn about insurance and have babies but first one more bad decision.

Her brother and his best friend, fellow rugby player, Renn Brewer come to Vegas to surprise her for her birthday.

After a night of drinking, Blakely and Renn wake up hung over and married. That's just the start of the story, they have a lot to work through, like did they mean to get married. Do they want to stay married? Will their families approve. What about the rugby team Renn plays for or the media, what will they say about Blakely?

Lots of drama and a social media storm and throw in Renns dad, first class jerk.

This was a great story made even better by the narrators. These were new for me narrators but I thought they did a great job being emotive. Renns narrator, John Lane has a deep and sexy voice and is just how I envisioned him sounding. Avery Caris narrates Blakely and played off well against John's narration. It was a nice pairing.

I'd listen to other books by these two narrators

Great story!

I really enjoyed this brothers best friend story. I loved the chemistry between Renn and Blakey. This was a fun ride with lots of swoon sprinkled in. The narrators did a great job!

Loved the Narrators Performance!

The Proposal is a sweet and sexy fake marriage, best friend's little sister with so much heart. Adriana always makes me smile and brings so much love when I read her books!

I really enjoyed the narration of this book. The narrators Avery Crais and John Lane bring this story to life. They do this in dual narrative, Avery brings all the spark of Blakely, and John does Renn's domenor perfectly. I couldn't stop listening and finished this in one sitting!

I was totally wrapped up in this story and the way it is written. This story will capture your heart, and these characters will make you smile and fall in love with them.
