Publisher's Summary

Tegan Raccini's heart has been hardened her parent's divorce, and by the recent loss of her bad-boy biker lover to a lifelong prison sentence. She isn't bitter; in fact, she's rather upbeat. But, she simply doesn't trust men.

When she causes an accident with a motorcycle on the freeway, she's immediately attracted to the handsome biker, but knows she can't stand another heartbreak. Even though she's unemployed, she agrees to pay for the damages, hoping to never see him again.

To earn the money for the repairs to his motorcycle, she accepts a job as the in-home caregiver for an elderly man who is confined to a wheelchair.

There's one problem when she shows up at his home.

A big problem.

He's the biker's father.

Rough is a stand-alone MC romance with no cheating, no sex outside the relationship, and no cliffhanger. It has an HEA, and although it is book two of a series, no other book is required to tell this tale. For the complete experience, and to understand the ancillary characters fully, reading Hard before Rough is recommended.

Great story

This is my first listen, but I've read this book before. I'm a huge Scott Hildreth fan. This is about Pee Bee and Tegan. It's sweet, sexy and a bit sad. However, I wasn't crazy about the narration. Both male and female simply read the story. I prefer to have different voices for each character. It was hard to tell who was talking. If that isn't bothersome to you, then give this try.

Funny and Deep - Just An All Round Great Book!

What did you love best about Rough?

The sense of humour in Rough grabbed my attention from the very first chapter. I laughed out several times while listening and when I wasn't cracking up I had a big, stupid grin on my face.

What did you like best about this story?

It's been a long time since I've listened to a biker romance that I genuinely liked and was interested in beyond the sassy parts.

All of the characters are relatable and multi faceted.

The book covered the emotional side of romance very well, not just the sex parts. You understand just why the characters are into each other, it's not just lust. The build up from their initial, disastrous meeting unravelled nicely with the right amount of conversation, banter and then flirting.

Have you listened to any of Holly Warren and Aaron Sin ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to any of Holly Warren or Aaron Sin's other performances, but they both did an excellent performance narrating Rough.

Holly's voice was great and I loved how she narrated Marcus! She didn't do an over the top, exaggerated effeminate imitation but she really brought his sass and humour to life.

Aaron's voice was also really good and his narration of old man Bradley was brilliant!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A Slow Burn.

Any additional comments?

It was a great read and I can't wait to listen to more of Scott Hildreth's books.

This book was so touching; my eyes are swollen

I can imagine a lot of reviewers being critical about this book. First of all, there was very little interaction with the MC. However, the interaction there was supported some of “Bradly’s wisdom”. This bit a wisdom is to never prejudge people based on what other people say, their race, religion or lack of religion. Tegan experiences dedication, loyalty and understanding from the last people she expects to; bikers, to include The Hell’s Angels. Who is Bradly? Bradly was PB’s father. He is a grumpy old man who was completely full of shit, and I loved his character. Bradly wasn’t just a great father to his son, PB, he became the father our Heroine, Tegan, never had. Tegan comes into Bradly’s life as a home healthcare nurse and they establish the type of relationship that I wish I had with my father. Bradly also acts as matchmaker between the Hero and Heroine. Throughout the book Bradly shares his words of wisdom to the Hero and Heroine and I just love the way he delivered his message. His wisdom was a good reminder to me and many other readers, I imagine. No, this romance wasn’t full of angst or drama and neither the Hero or Heroine did the other wrong but, to be honest, it was nice to read about a healthy relationship for a change. I really believe that everyone can get something to keep, out of this book. It is definitely a good feel novel that included a lot of lol humor. Definitely worth a credit!
