First in new series.
Would you consider the audio edition of Resurrection to be better than the print version?
Actually yes I read the kindle edition of this book and loved it but this brought all the action, and grit to life
What other book might you compare Resurrection to and why?
I think any suspense book with military / swat etc type would be similar but no two books are the same.
What about Sophie Eastlake’s performance did you like?
I love every book this narrator does.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Well some parts I wanted to scream and some parts I was laughing.
Any additional comments?
Excellent beginning to a new series. Loved it !

Skye Arevalo was a dedicated and deadly CIA agent until she faked her own death. She was forced to betray her principles by a man greedy for power. He threatened to kill Colt Stuart, the man she loved. Keeping under the radar is important if Skye is to stay alive. When she learns that Mary Grace, Colt's dear friend, is being held prisoner by a drug cartel leader, she decides to rescue her to honor her love for Colt. What she doesn't expect is to see the angry man she lost her heart to. Can they find their way back to each other after her deception. Skye is a powerful and feisty woman. She's deadly and determined to accomplish her plan. I like a woman who can stand up for herself. Colt is an Alpha protector who has spent his life fighting to make the world a better place. He wants to make things safe for his love. The chemistry between Skye and Colt is powerful and sensual. I wanted them to put the past behind them and find their HEA. The secondary characters are strong personalities that add so much to the story. I want to know more about them. Resurrection is a suspenseful story that has unexpected twists. I couldn't stop reading until I knew what happened. Katie Reus has written a powerful story which is a great beginning to this new series. An added bonus is Sophie Eastlake does a wonderful job with her narration. She makes these characters come to life. I'm looking forward to more stories in the Redemption Harbor series.

What an amazing book. Skye is a strong and smart woman who will do anything to protect the man she loves, even fake her own death. Colt loves Skye with every beat of his heart. He is in agnoy when she dies. What happens when these two come face to face? Can they make it a second time around? Colt is holding on and wont let go. This book has everything you could want in a book, hot sex, tons of action, amazing chemistry between characters.

Her time was running out….
The tidings of a new series from Katie Reus is exciting news indeed! Resurrection by Katie Reus marks the impressive debut of Katie’s new Redemption Harbor romantic suspense series. As all of Katie’s stories do, Resurrection drew me in from the start. Since this is the first book in the series, it also introduces the cast of characters many of whom are friends who have known each other since childhood. There’s unquestionably a score between Colt and his father that I hope Katie will delve into in future installments too. This is primarily the story of CIA operatives Colt Stuart and Skye Arévalo with a second couple figuring strongly, ex-linebacker Mercer and his wife, Mary Anne, an oncologist. The story is aptly told from their four viewpoints so you get into each of their heads at the appropriate times.
I’m not going to go into the story… You can read the blurb if you want a quick synopsis. Believe me, having this story unfold as you read is a breathtaking experience that you won’t soon forget.
The characters are likeable and come across as totally realistic. Colt has been mourning Skye’s death from an explosion while she was on an undercover operation for six long months when he shockingly comes face-to-face with her while rescuing his friend, Mary Anne, from a Mexican cartel. For Colt and Skye, this story is a second chance for them to connect. They are perfectly paired and have a combustible chemistry. Their sexy times are steamy with a capital S. Both Colt and Skye are my heroes: loyal, smart, tough and caring. I especially like that Colt wasn’t threatened in the least by Skye’s badassery and that she is comfortable in her own skin.
Mary Anne had been reported dead with a team of medical personnel who had been horrifically gunned down two months ago. Ends up that she was the lone survivor… Mary Anne was everyone’s friend and Mercer’s everything.
The cast of other characters are just as phenomenal and incredibly drawn. I can’t wait to read their stories in the following books!
I listened to the audio which was expertly voiced by Sophie Eastlake. Sophie never fails to produce a flawless and polished performance and Resurrection is not an exception. She voices multiple characters consistently differentiating between them. Both her male and female voices sound genuine and she exudes all the proper emotions. Her voice is crystal clear and easy to understand. I love to listen to her narrations as they always make my listening experience a joy.
I am addicted to Katie’s books. Resurrection is hair-raising and packed with passion and danger from the start to the finish. The romance and the suspense are heart and soul intertwined – one never overshadows the other. The surprising twist at the end left me appreciating karma and grinning like a Cheshire cat. There’s no cliffhanger ending, but readers will undeniably be enticed to pick up the sequel, which is thankfully already available. Savage Rising is already queued on my phone ready for me to hit play! If you enjoy hot romance paired with edge-of-your-seat-suspense-which-never-lets-up in an action-packed, fast-paced adventure, I highly recommend that you check out Resurrection soon!!!!!

Would you listen to Resurrection again? Why?
RESURRECTION
Resurrection is Katie Reus' newest book that is based in Redemption Harbor. Once again, Katie has written a great book with well developed characters. This storyline kept me engrossed through out the book. This story is about Skye and Colt, and about second chances. I very much enjoyed this book and am looking forward to more in the Redemption Harbor series. Sophie Eastlake is once again narrator. She does a great job with voices. I received an audible book for my honest review.

I just love a good second chance romance. Happily for me, Katie Reus did this one right. This book is the first of a new series and Katie takes a little time to introduce some terrific side characters in addition to a team of really kick ass MCs.
Both Skye and Colt were great characters, they were strong, clever, capable, confident, big hearted, and loved each other. There is no OW/OM poop in this story and the way the separation happened was very believable. I loved that Katie took the time to explain to the reader how a character as smart and capable as Skye ended up in a corner where her best option was to fake her death.
The supporting cast really exemplified the “when you show up with a dead body, a real friend grabs a shovel and doesn’t ask questions” kind of friends we all want in our lives and I look forward to seeing their stories in the upcoming books.
This story is well paced with lots of action and a very satisfying conclusion (the bad guy doesn’t get away with it – YEAH!!!).
The author gifted me an audible copy of this book with a request for an honest review. Well, I enjoyed the book so much, I bought the kindle copy too. The narrator did a very good job.

If you could sum up Resurrection in three words, what would they be?
good new series
What about Sophie Eastlake’s performance did you like?
please voice and that kept you listing to the whole book.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
action and romance
I really enjoyed listening this book. It is the first book in a new romantic suspense series by Katie Reus. The plot is well written and developed. The characters are interesting and have a well-balanced interaction. I would recommend this book to any listening who enjoys romantic suspense. Sophie Eastlake does an awesome job with the narration. She seems to make you a part of the story -- I seemed to feel what the characters were feeling at any given point in the story. There were no noticeable skips or flaws in the narration. I listened to this book while driving. I was able to pick up - where the story left off - without any issues or missing anything each time I listened in the car.
This book was just brimming with excitement from the get go. I don't know where to start to explain how good it is. There was an extraction from an evil cartel, a lover's reunion, A husband and wife back together and a wicked greedy adversary getting his come uppance. Just the start of a new series which I am eagerly looking forward to. Katie Reus is just magic with the written word. The stories just pour out of her and they get better and better.
