Publisher's summary

Gideon Cross: As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn’t stay away. I didn’t want to. He was my addiction…my every desire…mine.

My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful…except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity.

We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession.…

Better Written than 50 Shades

What made the experience of listening to Reflected in You the most enjoyable?

I fell in love with Gideon Cross and I found it wonderful to actually get more of a story, rather than all love scenes in this book. Please don't think that I don't love the hot and steam sex scenes...I do, but I also want a story. Reflected in you gave this in the second book. I don't want to compare 50 Shades to this book. I found that I could only handle so many "laters baby" and other ridiculous exclamations in the 50 Shades series. It was a turn off despite the love scenes. I enjoyed the story and am sad that the next installment will not be out until May of 2013.

Which character – as performed by Jill Redfield – was your favorite?

EAT MY SHORTS CHRISTIAN GREY

A million times better than 50! The story is deeper and has a great "thriller" feel to it!! It's great!

Listened over and over.

This series was addictive. Really ramped up the juices! Eva and Gideon work out the kinks in their relationship as this second instalment in the Crossfire series continues. Eva and Gideon really are very well suited to one another...Eva just seems to miss that point on numerous occasions, letting her insecurities and fear of abandonment from her childhood influence her faith in Gideon's love and devotion to her. A great series.

I loved it even more than Book 1

What made the experience of listening to Reflected in You the most enjoyable?

Jill is a great narrator.

What did you like best about this story?

I love that Ava and Gideon both have baggage, and like most of us, struggle with it over and over again. Glad that counseling is offered as a way to begin to address it.

Which scene was your favorite?

Final scene, hands down!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Coming out of the dark

Any additional comments?

I loved both books in the series, and I can't wait for Book 3!

Book #2 continues the magic!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes...yes...a thousand times yes!!! If you are a fan of the genre, I don't think it gets much better.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reflected in You?

The most memorable moment was in the car when he confessed what happened to him as a child. I cried...actually cried while driving home from work. My husband thought something terrible had happened to me and I couldn't explain why I was so upset over a book!

Which scene was your favorite?

I love every scene with Cary...even if he is being bad. I want a roommate like him...someone who will do my hair and help me pick out clothes...someone who will love me warts and all and be my friend for the rest of my life!!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The car scene I already mentioned...and then the scene at the very end. I cannot wait for the next book!!!

Great follow up to book 1!

Where does Reflected in You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It was very good. I would read it again if I had it to do over.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reflected in You?

The characters really make you feel for them even though their psychological issues can be a little frustrating sometimes. I often wanted to shake the female main character and tell her to BREATHE and be rational lol.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Jill Redfield?

I didn't really enjoy her reading. It was very breathy and I found her male voice to be extremely overdone and annoying.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh but not cry.

Stressful...

This book was a stressful read (listen)! (I found myself commenting out loud on more than one occasion). It was so much going on, so many ups and downs and I never knew for sure what was coming next. It was dark in some places and there were a few things that were simply disturbing. I know it’s “just a book”; but it can be seen as a reflection of some real life, unhealthy, struggles some people have. Maybe it bothered me more than other readers because I’ve experienced some of these struggles. If you’re good a staying in the mindset of realizing it’s just a book, I’d say go for it; otherwise, I’m not really sure. I enjoyed the book; some parts were just really hard for me to get through. Think Fifty Shades Darker... but much darker.

Too much angst this time around (some spoilers)

What did you love best about Reflected in You?

I have enjoyed the series and I can see how this book will be the conduit between the first and third book. However, this one was a little tough to get through. Lots of pain and angst throughout with very little relief from it. As the reader, I started to get uncomfortable, because the pain experienced by G an E was relentless, and even the sex seemed painfully desperate. They are just so chronically unhappy. I would have liked to see a longer book with a few chapters of lighter connection between Gideon and Eva -- there are one or two but even they are fraught with tension and tears. Even Cary gets seriously hurt. Way too much worry, and becomes too much for the reader when there is no relief.Corinne shows her true bitchy self, which is not exactly how we are introduced to her in the first book. More angst!!That being said, I love the way Sylvia Day has crafted the story, and I can't help but love the characters, so I'm giving it four stars. It grabbed me enough to keep me up until 3AM on a work-night, but I thought 7 hours was way too short for the second book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reflected in You?

Hands down, the last few pages when Gideon can finally tell Eva he loves her. We knew it, she knew it, and he knew it -- but it is quite emotional to hear him become stronger and trusting enough to tell her. Secondly, it was important to hear what happened to Gideon with the PhD student-- from his voice.

Which scene was your favorite?

Any scene Gideon is in is powerful. He is kind of nuts, but you have to love his kindnesses and adoration of Eva. He is a bit of a sex-god and fun! Too bad he's fiction (he would have to be, with that kind of sexual ability!) Some of the "Dom" is there in a few scenes, but he's really more (non-intentially) cruel in Reflected to You.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen all in one sitting. Not that happy about it, because it did take me two listens to finish Bared to You. I thought this one was a little too short,

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to the final book to see how the whole story concludes -- altho-- I would love to see a 4th book. I kinda like following these two intense characters, and coming from Philadelphia, I enjoy the New York backdrop which I am familiar with.I like the new characters, but I missed Magdalena and wondered why she suddenly disappeared.Again, Jill Redfield was very good as the narrator. There were a few mispronunciations and voice issues, but she has become the voice of these books for me.If you are addicted to the series, you will want to listen. So, I would recommend it if you are ready for a bumpy ride.
