Loved

Didn’t think I was going to like it but I LOVED it…. !! Love the banter and the spiciness!!

Sexy

Didn’t think I’d like this. At first the narrators voices (esp the male one) bothered me. But I got used to it. The story is good and steamy at times although it gets a bit repetitive. At a certain point the heroine’s ambivalence to “give in” to her true desires gets a bit tired. It’s like just do it already. Not the best writing but overall engaging. A little sexy escape. I downloaded the next book ;)

I wanted to like it!

There’s so much in this book that is good- the narration, the setting, the characters are ok. But i just couldn’t get into it! I’m so sad bc I’ve listened to The Wolf Hotel series and i couldn’t get enough! I can’t put my finger in what didn’t click for me, and all the reviews are great. I’m very sad about it. 😞

Gabriel and Mercy

Mercy Wheeler (25; aka Merce) is an only child whose mom died of a drug overdose when Mercy was 1o years old. She is in college and working for a drug and alcohol addiction center. Mercy's father is in prison for killing his former co-worker, the man who assaulted Mercy. Mercy faithfully visits her father in prison every weekend which is where she crosses paths with Gabriel. Gabriel Easton (29) has an older brother, is a nightclub owner, runs an underground fight ring, and he has an abusive father who is in prison for witness tampering and money laundering. Caleb is Gabriel's older brother, co-owner of their nightclub and their home. The Easton family have been in the drug trade for their entire life but both brothers want to be free of it. Gabriel is immediately attracted to Mercy and offers to help her father, who is being beaten in prison, if she moves in with him for one week.... JP

Hot scenes

We love a bad boy who can’t resist our fmc. She was a bit “pick me girl” at times but I liked her sarcasm. Great smut!

Sweet Mercy

It was kind of hard to get into but I kept reading and so glad I did! It picked up towards the end of this book and the rest of the series was good!

Good read with a little spice

This is a good book. I do like how the narrators make me feel in the story.

Both Mercy and Gabriel's voices came to life! loved it!

Great narrators. Okay plot

I wanted to love this story more. Coming off of Wolf Hotel was probably not the best move. I was so obsessed with that series and this one didn’t give me the same feeling I was after.
The narrators were fantastic. The spice was great. The writing was good but I just think the plot wasn’t as interesting for me in comparison to some of her others.

Wow. This one is erotic and incredibly sexy. Good story - looking forward to book 2.
