Publisher's Summary

Gwen Walberg, literature teacher and self-professed geek, is thrilled to acquire a priceless antique book, but soon learns why it came so cheap. The book contains the ghost of Violetta, its former owner, who spices up her boring afterlife by playing matchmaker. Gwen is her new target - and if she won't cooperate, Violetta is prepared to throw a storm of dangerous tantrums. Rather than give up the treasured book, Gwen reluctantly surrenders, and learns Violetta has already chosen the man for her: Gwen's gorgeous gardener and friend, Paul Chang.

Paul is stunned that a ghost wants to cast him as a romance hero but intrigued enough to cooperate. Step by awkward step, Paul and Gwen allow their weird voyeur to force them into compromising positions. But what if the unlikely couple starts enjoying their bizarre, steamy situation? Can they ever cultivate a healthy relationship with an unstable ghost tagging along?

Cute ghost story

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Ghosts and Geeks was a cute ghost story. Gwen, a college professor, purchases an extremely rare book very cheap, only to find out that the book also comes with a ghost. The ghost, named Violetta wants Gwen to recreate some of the passages in the book.. mainly the love scenes. Now she just needs a partner to do this with. In walks Paul, Gwen's gardner.

If Violetta doesn't get her own way, she likes to throw fits as well as items. And guess what, even tho Gwen and Paul are shy, they don't really mind.. they just don't always want an audience.

Cute story.

Of Ghosts and Geeks

When Gwen acquires a rare antique book, she is beyond thrilled, that is, until she finds out it comes with a voyeuristic Victorian Ghost. Is the price of appeasing the ghost worth it to keep the book?

Of Ghosts and Geeks is an enjoyable listen with some very humorous scenes. I loved the twist at the end!

Not your typical ghost story

Loved this listen! One voyuristic ghost plus two (somewhat) unwilling participants make for some hilarious events. Loved the story and was laughing so hard I was crying at some parts. Great romance story too. Fantastic narrator, her use of emotion and tone really brought the story to life. Better than I expected

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was definitely not what I expected. It lived up to the synopsis, but was better executed than I expected. I found that I actually quite enjoyed the book and was surprised when it ended so quickly. The narration was pretty decent and the overall experience was good.

A breath of fresh air!
Really wish there had been more and I will be looking for more from this author.
A pervey victorian female specter isnt something you see everyday, but I like it. Kind of turns the tables a little.

Can You Say Vivatious Victorian Voyeur?

A university lecturer is thrilled when she finds a rare first edition of an old mythology book ... until she discovers that it comes with a zany Victorian voyeur ghost attached. Romance and hilarity ensue.
A brilliantly funny story with an obsessive and wacky villain, a sweet, geeky heroine and a bewildered but oh so sexy hero. Melanie Carey brings them all to life with a sense of humor you can hear in her voice.
Great fun. Perfect for a trip ... as long as you don't snort your coffee. Probably not suitable for work unless your colleagues are already used to you giggling at your desk.

Geekiness meets romance and paranormal

Smart, funny, geekiness, romance, and paranormal met in of ghosts and geeks. Buying a boom comes with an interesting twist for Gwen when she gets a book she's desired only to find a ghost that wants to play matchmaker. Great geek references and good humor. I hope there is more of Gwen's story

Ok

"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, via Audiobook Boom, and have voluntarily left this review."

I listened to the entire story but the narrator's voice made me cringe throughout. This is not a book that I would go back and listen to again. It does have several plot twists which made the story move along but really did not strike a good note to me. Loved the ending where the uncle got the ghost but not sure about the new ghost showing up.
