A love story with a side of time travel and murder
Oh, this was SO good! Murder mystery meets Outlander *french kiss*
Synopsis: When a girl is brought to her family home at a young age she begins to fall through time where she meets a boy. Together they grow up together and become each other's first loves. However, one fateful night the girl returns home only to see a ghost haunting her. In her panic a tragedy occurs and her family believes her mad. Ripped away from her home and the boy she grows up believing it all to be a fantasy she made up in her head. As an adult of 38 she returns to the manor after inheriting it when the last remaining member of her family passes. Returning to the manor throws her back in time repeatedly not only to discover her childhood friend and first love is still alive in his time but also unearths a mystery surrounding the disappearance of several people. The townsfolk believe he is to blame for their disappearance and back in her time she is visited by the ghosts of those who'd gone missing in his time. Who is the murderer? Is it her long lost love or someone else?
This story is wonderfully written and has tons of twists and turns throughout. A love story that spans time and a thrilling "who done it?" Not to mention the ghosts and folklore thrown in. 10/10

Incredible Story
After reading someone’s review, I decided I had to take a listen. If you love romance, intrigue, suspense, beautiful old manor houses and ghosts.....this is the book for you! This author has such a way of painting a story with her words. She transports you into these places. The narrator was excellent as well. What a fantasy!

A time travel romance with a twist!
This was a pretty good time-travel story. There was romance, a bit of mystery, and even a haunting. Samantha Brentmoor’s narration was good too. Her tone and pacing really help move the story along.

Great Gothic Mystery
First: Great gothic mystery with enough plot twists that I sat in my parked car simply to listen to the last 30 minutes of the story. I needed to know how it would end.
Second: The Victorian gentlemen in this story are way more open minded than any real men from that era would be. Particularly in regards to the 21st century protagonist. I had to decide to just go with it to enjoy the story.
Third: I understand the desire to normalize the LGTBQ2 community in modern literature and film. It feels “extra” when thrown into a Gothic tale of ghosts and time travel.
I will consider reading more of her stories in the future.
