Favorite so far
This is my fav of the first three books. This book reveals Zhadist’s past and what makes him so tormented. I absolutely loved Phury’s bond and love for his twin. The HEA does not come easy on this one and there is a lot of death as well. Worth the listen!

I'm a Z girl.
This is one of my favorites, maybe my favorite thus far. I'm definitely a Zadist girl and have been from the word go. All these characters are so complex and well written. I love the back and forth and how all stories are tied together and you learn new things about everyone in each book. Great story about how you can overcome your demons.

Gripping Story
While all the books in this series so far have been outstanding, this one goes beyond. There are so many layers and depth interwoven into the fabric of this tale.
The way Zadeth sees himself versus the way others perceive him is heart-wrenching. Yet that can be true of almost everyone. Z will forever have a special place in my heart.
I like that Bella has such an open heart yet isn't a pushover. She stands up against her brother and Z when needed.
The world-building in this series is phenomenal. The author's use of slang and the character's actions skillfully bring each scene to life.
I highly recommend this series and this book. But for the best experience, I would strongly recommend reading them in order.

Only read this book after the first two and prepare your heart to be broken, then lifted, then broken again. This book is great and made me go on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I only gave this book 4 stars because I'm so emotionally torn, but this book is fantastic.

One of my favorite of this series
I’ve re read this series many times, and this book is one of my favorites. It’s well written and has the ingredients of a memorable series

lover awakened
one of the best series out there! this is my 3rd time listening to it, plus i read most of the series when it 1st came out so long ago ;) make sure to give it a listen, or u will b missing out!

BEST audiobook in the BDB Series !
Zsadist and Bella's story is my favorite of all the series and that's hard to pick since I feel almost every single one is great! To some extent, I feel the narrator--Jim Frangione--makes the series top notch. Zsadist shares a heartwarming bond to his twin brother, Phury.
We learn of Zsadist's troubled past that explains his nature now. But he is drawn to Bella and she to him; she helps him escape his inner demons. It's difficult to express how strongly I enjoyed this installment without giving away spoilers. I will simply say that JR Ward did a fantastic job with character building, Zsadist's recollections of his horrible ordeal as a slave and how he grows throughout the story. Because I could never tire of re-listening to this story, I used one of my precious credits to purchase the audiobook even though I could rent from the library whenever I wanted.
I wholeheartedly recommend giving this a listen.!!

my favorite in the series and I read them twice
this is my favorite book because Zadist is my favorite brother. I have read all oh this series twice over. However this is my 1st time listening to and and I loved it ♡
