Publisher's Summary

Groupie
/ˈɡro͞opē/
A person, especially a young woman, who regularly follows a celebrity in the hope of meeting or getting to know them.

See example Tiffany Wendel:

Whore. Slut. Cleat chaser. I'm used to the names so they don't bother me. These are my boys. My friends. So what if I like to have dirty sex with them? My body is no one's business but mine.

Why is Rowen Flanigan making me re-think how I live my life? Making me question my choices? He's only a rookie.

rookie
/ˈro͝okē/
A member of an athletic team in his first full season in that sport.

See example Rowen Flanigan:

Player. Son of a legend. Rookie.

Sure, I'd heard the stories of the groupies before. Who hasn't? I've just been more sheltered than my teammates. So what? I didn't expect her to be smart. Witty. Kind. She brings me to my knees in every way - except one.

That part? I'm saving until the time is right.

So how in the hell did I end up falling for a groupie like Tiffany? And how in the hell is this going to work when everyone at my job has had a piece of the one thing I haven't?

I Loved This Twist On A ♥♥♥♥♥ Love Story

Not your usual Love story where an experienced guy meets a virginal girl. Tiffany is an unabashed Soccer Groupie who loves every dirty experience with the boys of her favorite
pro soccer team by night and is a TV sports producer in one of the biggest markets by day. Rowen is the rookie phenom hired by the team to bring them into championship form. As Hot as he is he's also saving himself. What happens when that Hot chaste soccer star meets the very sexual team groupie is the stuff romances are made of. The always brilliant Muffy Newtown as Tiffany and the panty melting voice of Christian Fox as the Irish rookie Rowen are perfection. ♥♥♥♥♥

Only M.E. Carter could

Only M.E. Carter could have me not just enjoy a story about someone I did not admire at all in the previous book in this series, but also have me rooting for her happiness. I loved Rowan for Tiffany. The story was thought-provoking and believable; no OTT drama in my opinion, but yet there was never a dull moment. I do recommend reading Juked first, as that helps sets up Groupie.

Because it grabs you and won't let go... A+

I chose to press play on this audio after seeing who the narrators were and after a friend recommended the author. I enjoyed book 1 in the series (Juked) but this audio took me on a ride and I loved it!! The main theme that we are all a result of our past, but that it does not define who we are is what got to me. The author chose, who could easily be an unlikable characters, and gave us her story. The Groupie, Tiffany, is unapologetic about her enjoyment of being physical but as the story moves forward you see her evolve and grow within a different frame of mind to value sex beyond the physical. I loved the chemistry between the main characters, the fact that there is NO instant gratification, just a great build up. Such a great to have a story like this giving you an unexpected experience. BRAVO!

Interesting Premise

I liked that she was sort of an anti hero. To see things from her POV was interesting. She likes sex and isn't ashamed.....but then she is... that's where it lost stars for me. I would have liked it better if the TIffany ended up being less whiny in the latter part of the book and much stronger. Rowen was okay. The ending was too super sweet (no stars docked). Cheesy and totally predictable.

Christian Fox - 4 stars
Muffy Newtown- 1.5 stars. She could be amazing, but she's not..... I want to like her because she has narrated so many books, but every time I try, I'm disappointed again. She sounds like she's talking with a stuffy nose. She ends words/sentences with an extra hitch/grunt (ie: because"uh" or books"uh"). Her whisper voice is hard to listen to because it turns whiny. On top of all that, she has those mouth sounds sometimes.

Nice story

This was a nice enough story about a groupie turned girlfriend and eventually wife, scandal and love. This book had some decent humor in it. Muffy Newtown and Christian Fox are great narrators to listen too.

Great Narration!

First, I want to say that these two narrators just made my favorites list. They were perfect for this book and definitely enhanced the reading experience.

Now for the story... I wasn't sure the groupie could be redeemed. Even at 50% in, I still wasn't convinced, but by the end, I was like "damn, I'm rooting for the groupie." Sure, Tiffany is originally an unlikeable character who does questionable things, but true to the tag line, every slut has a story. And there was a nice character arc. The heroine definitely grew—through some trials and tribulations—throughout the story. It didn't hurt that Rowan (H) was a dream. He had a strong moral compass, saved himself for marriage, and had chivalry down to a fine art. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and was rooting for their HEA. AND marriage, so they could finally consummate. It was worth the wait.
