Publisher's Summary

Zach
I just wanted to cheer her up. She was upset, so I offered to take her mind off things the best way I know how: in bed. But damn it, one night with her wasn’t nearly enough! I want more, and this has never happened to me before. So I made her another offer.…

Scarlett
Another heartbreak. I’m not the one-night stand kinda girl. But I had heard the rumors about how amazing Zach was in bed, so I said yes to spending one night with him. After so many heartbreaks, maybe this was exactly what I needed, just a little bit of fun. But I don’t think one night with him is going to be enough.

Can friends really become lovers?

This new adult novel focuses on Zach and Scarlett, two people in a group of college friends that hookup after a wedding. From the moment the two connect in the story, you begin to root for their success, but circumstances and stubbornness will keep them apart. I love stories like this, while some find the way this couple went about finally finding each other frustrating, I think it is real life honestly portrayed. Things are never fairy tale smooth, and both Zach and Scarlett contribute their own issues to their situation due to their insecurities. Giving the story that realistic quality, it is refreshing to have not only the hot scenes, but the consequences of decisions dealt with.

This is my first narration by Victoria Mei and I enjoyed her performance. She has a good pace, and her voices are easily discernible for each character. She is perfect for this new adult age and is able to give the story the emotion and feels to make it a satisfying listen.

F buddy indeed

This had a Contemporary romance feel but felt NA at times too even though I don't think it was intentional. I liked the narrator but I wish it'd been dual narrative. Plot was better than the romantic arc sometimes, but the characters made it work. I'd say it was between a 4-4.25.

A Compelling Listen

I was given this audiobook with a request for an honest review.

Likable characters even when they acted foolishly out of misunderstandings. Some of the story wasn't very realistic but it kept the drama up. The HEA seemed rushed and it missed an opportunity to throw in a little gut wrenching angst. There were a couple hot scenes but few and only in the beginning.

Good narration throughout.

Could've been better

This story was really promising it has a good start with Zach and Scarlett but then just when things are starting Zach is sent away for job reasons without knowing an exact day to return back home, so things get really complicated there are a lot of misunderstandings and assumptions for both parts so it can get really exasperating.

The narrattion was really really good considering is just one Narrator doing both male an female voices it was really well done!

Great Contemporary Romance

This book was much better than I expected! Scarlett is tired of always being a bridesmaid and never the bride. She doesn’t do one night stands but as upset as she gets after yet another wedding she might step out of her comfort zone.

Narration was well done and brought the story to life.

Zach is pretty much a no strings attached kind of guy. Scarlett and him have been friends for awhile. This is one of the few times Scarlett and him are unattached and he decides to make a proposition to her.

There is quite a bit of things that happen in a short span of time! There is some drama and misunderstandings that lead to more complications. It is a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. I think she forgave him a bit too soon... but everything wraps up in a nice HEA.

F Buddy

What a great listen! I loved listening to these two plot their plans on the future. Was a bit disappointed in the lack of conversation, but there wouldn’t have been the right kind of drama without it so it needed to be there. So many mistakes that could have been avoided otherwise. I was glad to see them find the HEA although it was a bit quick on the forgiveness in my opinion. Regardless I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to look into other books by this author.

Great Read

I enjoyed reading F Buddy by Summer Cooper. Scarlet is tired of being a bridesmaid and never a bride. At her friends wedding, she decides to find a F buddy. She decides her friends Zach is just a person for the job. Little did they know they’re f buddy could turn into so much more.

Friends Become Lovers And Forget To Communicate

Scarlett and Zach are a part of a set of friends from college and the final two unmarried. At the wedding of one of those friends Scarlet is depressed she isn’t married and Zach is happily single. He suggests they hook up ( in truth something he has always wanted) and she agrees.
They hook up, decide it isn’t serious still friends, until they both are more emotionally involved than they even imagined and life and distance, failure to talk pulls the, apart.
A little different set of circumstances make this an easy, not a long, listen. Enjoyable..at times you’d like to tell each one to just be honest with each other! But HEA makes then ending sweet and worth the wait..nothing very goes too smoothly.
The narration was well done and added to the enjoyment of the story. First time listen for me and this narrator..pacing, emotion and flow was perfect.
Worth listen!

Didn't really go into detail.

Thank you to Giselle Lumas for providing me with a free copy of this audiobook in return for an honest review.

Worth the Time is a coming of age story that follows Lindsey, a young girl trying to find herself as she changes from a teen to an adult. Lindsey is a lonely girl who has never met her father and isn't particularly close with her mother. When sent to a shelter for her community service, Lindsey meets Sutton and finds out that her life isn't actually so tough.

The Good Stuff
I really liked the balance between Lindsey's story of meeting her father and slowly building a relationship with Sutton. The backstory of Lindsay's father was really interesting and he was really likable.

The narrator, Giselle was very right for this story, she had a very calming voice and kept the dialogue flowing very well, even at points when it seemed to be a little forced and badly written.

Sutton was a really likable character. I'm so used to reading the shy girl falls for the popular boy but not so much the other way around. It was really interesting to read.

Not My Cup of Tea
As mentioned above, some of the dialogue didn't really seem to flow, the narrator did a great job of making it work but I think had I been reading it I may have given up because it just didn't seem natural.

When I read the write up for this story I wasn't aware that it was a Christian fiction.
I don't really mind a character having a religion - whether it's Christian, Jewish, Muslim...it adds to the character. This one, however, really went to town with teachings. After about halfway I was getting sick of hearing the word Jesus, Preacher and God. It was more or less the word out of every character's mouth.
This story would be perfect for someone who is a lot more interested in the Christian religion but for me, it did get very long and very annoying.

Overall Rating
The story that followed Lindsey was quite nice and well split between meeting her dad and learning more about Sutton. However, I did get very tired of the Christian talk and probably wouldn't have gotten so frustrated with the book had I known that it was very Christian themed. It would definitely be well suited as Young Adult Christian fiction, but it's just not for me.

Mills and boon would love it

From the first chapter you know pretty much what is going to happen, written a bit risky for the traditional mills and boon but at the end of the day it is a feel good book, happy ever after.
The narration I found terrible, the voice lacked power and conviction to put it bluntly a wet blanket.
If I had had a different book to listen too on my drive I would have changed it
