This single gal has had enough of the games, the BS, and the endless chase. I know what I want most, and it's not true love. It's a bun in the oven, and I'm not afraid to hit up my sex-on-a-stick coworker to do the job. Ryder is gorgeous, witty, and wild - and he's also a notorious commitmentphobe. That makes him the perfect candidate to make a deposit in the bank of me. I won't fall for him, he won't fall for me, and there's no way baby will make three. Right?
When you think about how easy it is to lose keys, phones, sunglasses and your dignity on social media, you might figure it'd be a cinch for me to ditch my V Card. You'd be wrong. At 25, I run a successful business, live in a fantastic apartment, and have fabulous friends to go out with any night of the week. And yet I'm still a card-carrying member of a club I don't want to belong to anymore. Good thing I know just the man for the deflowering job - my brother’s business partner and best friend.
Growing up, the three of us were friends. He was the nerd. I was the playboy. She was the beauty. Deep down, I only ever wanted her. I kept it inside because Rory and I made a pact that our friend, Amber, was off-limits. He lied. I went off to college, and he got the girl. Amber never knew how I felt. They were together for years - before he broke her heart. Through it all and across the miles, she and I casually stayed in touch. When my job sent me to Boston for a three-month contract position, Amber let me stay in her spare room.
Women often say a good man is hard to find. And a hard man is even better. That's why I'm quite a catch - good, hard, loaded, and wait for it...I'm ready to settle down too. But the woman I want to pitch my tent with lives clear across the country. Neither of us wants to get lost in those woods. All I have to do is resist her for the week she's in town.
I'm one puff piece away from tearing up my journalism degree and hurling my laptop into the Hudson River. So when I smell a juicy story brewing at my brother's Wall Street investment firm, I'll do whatever it takes to get my scoop. One clever disguise later, I'm deep undercover as the firm's newest broker, simultaneously gathering intel and spouting off stock tips like a boss. Go me, right? Sure, it sounds good on paper, but there's a catch: the actual boss. Chief Executive Panty-melter Jack Holt is cocky. Infuriating. And one smoldering look has me ready to violate every rule in the employee handbook. Thank God my assignment has an expiration date. Because falling for my brother's best friend and business partner is a lose-lose proposition. Right?
I'm not a one-night stand kind of woman. I'm especially not the woman who has a few drinks at a concert and ends up in bed with my childhood celebrity crush, Eli Walsh. However, that's exactly where I find myself. What's a girl to do after a drunken mistake? Run. I grab my clothes and get away from the powerful, irresistible, and best-sex-of-my-life superstar as fast as I can.
I'm writing this letter because it's highly doubtful I'll ever garner the courage to say this to your face. So, here goes. We're totally wrong for each other. You're the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I'm just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England. But here's the thing... for some bloody reason, I can't stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.
The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight -- telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend-smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.
Family. Responsibility. Stability. As the co-CEO of Bayou Enterprises and the eldest of the Boudreaux clan, Beau is the epitome of these. Now that his baby sister, Gabby, is happily settled down, Beau has moved into the company loft in the heart of the French Quarter to be closer to his office while his own home is built. He doesn't have time for anything but the family he adores and the company that drives him.
If only the bewitching owner of the herb shop downstairs from Beau's loft weren't so damn tempting.
Mallory Adams is living the life. The good life. The best life for her. After years of hiding who she is and the gifts she's been cursed with, Mallory opened her little shop in the French Quarter, offering herbs and lotions for anything from soothing a sunburn to chasing those pesky ghosts New Orleans is known for out of a client's home. Some call her eccentric, and some say she's simply odd, and that's okay with her. She is a bit odd, but in her experience, all of the best people are.
When an old pipe bursts in the loft above her store, flooding her storeroom, Mallory comes face to face with Beau Boudreaux, and she doesn't need the clairvoyant abilities that have been passed down through generations to know that she'll never be the same. Beau is her exact opposite: serious, straitlaced. He wears suits, for Pete's sake, and probably wouldn't know the difference between arnica and flaxseed if his life depended on it. But when he touches her, the electricity is through the roof, and she's smart enough to know that a chemistry like theirs doesn't happen every day.
Can two people so very different possibly find their way to happily ever after?
Would you listen to Easy Magic again? Why?
I've already listened to this again haha. I feel like each story has gotten better and better. Surprised to see sebastian york was't the narrator but still chose to purchase it because enjoy the author and this seemed different than the usual plot. I loved that "magic" was involved in a New Orleans setting (perfect!). I love how Kristen's series come full circle, down to the idea that Gaby's inn had it's history. Extreamly surprised that the narrator was the same as the Christian Grey version of 50 shades hahaa, Sebastian York and Zachary Webber have definitely caused a dent to my wallet! haha
What was one of the most memorable moments of Easy Magic?
The book was fabulous but when Bou got to speak to his father towards the end melted my heart!
Which scene was your favorite?
When the late father appear to Mallory and told her he was always by his bride. **Swoon**
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Not sure, but this one would definately become a great focus of a movie. It has it all, sex, money, and with a twist of magic haha. But I have yet to hear Ben and Savannah story, I hope it's worth the wait.
Any additional comments?
Please hurry to complete Ben's story ! haha also wouldn't hurt to add more male narration. Women know most of these books and are familiar with how women think. Bringing in a male narrator with a "male point of view" (even if it is written by a woman ) makes it a lot more fun. I'm not a huge fan of the female narrator but as long as they don't kill it with the male narrator it should be great! Stick to sebastian york or zachary webber, though!

Kristen Proby continues to amaze me with her writing talent! Beau and Mallory are everything I hoped for, what a marvelous story! I love this Boudreaux series and each book just gets better. In my opinion everyone needs to read and or listen to Easy Magic.
The narrators for this audio were fantastic!

This story takes place in Nawlins' so of course there's some ghosts and haunting, it was bound to happen. And this happens in the very enchanting way with the most straight laced of the Boudreaux family, big brother Beau. It was delightful listening to Beau try to navigate dating a psychic medium who had regular conversations with dead people. Beau found Mallory absolutely irresistible so maybe she used some of her magic to put spell on him. The attraction between the two was electric but is it strong enough to overcome the supernatural interventions. Each book is this series seems to get better than the last one, so this one is the best so far. In addition to learning what drives Beau, we also get to catch up with our favorite family members from previous books -- love it. Every love story needs a little magic.
Rachel has done a fabulous job in this series and this book is no different. The addition of Zachary Webber was a great choice as he pulls off that southern accent naturally. The only thing that could have made this better was a duet style narration. But this is the next best thing. Love these two together.
Most definitely worth a credit and multiple listens.

I love these books so much I own the whole series.
I have yet to listen to one I didn't like.
The mysticism and culture of New Orleans that is well represented in these books.
That's why I enjoy listening to them.
This one did have more of a paranormal aspect to it with the clairvoyant Mallory.
There's a bell book and candle feel.
This like the others is a stand alone with no cliff hangers, lots of laughter, strong family bonds, plenty of mischief, and top notch narration.
All of these books are worth giving up a credit for 👌

What does Zachary Webber and Rachel Fulginiti bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
These two narrators are wonderful. I love the way Rachel can bring the easy accent to Mallory and Zachary Webber has such a sexy voice.
Any additional comments?
Kristen Proby continues to bring the Boudreaux family stories to life and each one is different. Easy Magic brings Beau, the eldest brother, and Mallory, a shop owner, together. It's just amazing the way Kristen writes a story with ghosts and spirits bringing the two together in an unexpected way. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Ok I think this book is my favorite of the series, and I haven’t even gotten to Van’s book yet and that is the book I am most looking forward to!
I really liked Mallory and the medium kind of thing she has going on empath all of that. I loved that she just accepted who she was even if she does close herself off from it too. I don’t know if that makes much sense but it’s how I felt.
Now Beau is freaking awesome, even though he doesn’t not believe he also doesn’t completely believe either and he doesn’t judge at all. He just accepted who she was at face value. I really liked that about him.
This whole book kind of gives me the willies because ghosts and spirits I very much believe in and even just reading about it I don’t know it’s just that feeling like we are not as alone as we think we are.
Thank you Zachary Webber for having such an amazing southern accent you made this book period. Even of Story. :D
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Kristen is the first author I have read in a long time that introduced a character with psycic ability. It was treated as apart of the plot and not expoited. It was a good story, not just a person who sees the dead.
