Prepare to laugh, cry, and fall in love with this enthralling new romance from J. Bengtsson - available in audio first!

When a letter from his supposedly deceased mother finds its way into his hands, life changes in an instant for international pop star Bodhi Beckett.

Reeling from the deception of those closest to him, Bodhi spirals out of control and is sent to a secluded mansion in the coastal mountains of Southern California for some rest and relaxation. But the retreat proves to be anything but relaxing when a raging wildfire sets the landscape around him ablaze.

While escaping the flames, Bodhi rescues Breeze, a quirky, pet-loving woman, and together the two fight their way to safety. In the aftermath of the fire, Bodhi and Breeze hit the road to uncover the truth about his family. What neither of them expected is to forge a powerful connection that will change their lives forever...but can it survive the real world, or will it disappear like the wind?

Amazing.

This story had me pulled in from the beginning. Breeze had me cracking up and Brohdy is such an amazing guy. i swooned over him. J Bengtsson did an amazing job with their story. just wish there was an epilogue. need to know what happened next.

LOVED THIS STORY!

The main characters come together under the worst of circumstances. They start a journey that brings them closer to each other.

They come from two completely different backgrounds, but as they open up to each other their friendship grows, becoming more, and more. There is personal growth, and the development (along with their realization) of true love.

The narrators were great!

A beautiful story that I would recommend.

Ahhh-amazing

This was my first audible book. I had to give it a try because I love everything J Bengtsson writes and Like The Wind was no different. I fell in love with Bohdi and Breeze and absolutely enjoyed there adventure. I was laughing like a loon in the grocery store as I listened to this story, but I just couldn’t help myself.

This was a fun, fast read with lots of real emotion and depth and I would definitely recommend it! You won’t regret it at all...

I have given 5 stars one other time

I have seen the "Cake" book but never read it so this was my first time with this author. The story was just a joy from beginning to end. The humor, the likable characters, the passion ( not tons of it, it was dabbled in) and the real life that was handled well was just entertaining and uplifting. I loved the way Bodhi talked with the animals, it had me chuckling and smirking all the time. He was such an awesome character that at first I thought I wouldn't like because he seemed so immature, but I got over that fast. Who couldn't like Breeze? She was cute, funny, likable, reasonable, they were great together. I have to speak to the narrators who were just awesome. The both brought the humor, the concern and the love..This was a 5 star experience on both accounts and I am off to download Cake, the book that for some reason I passed by several times, what was I thinking!?

Best book ever!!!

Stop reading these reviews and listen to this book... NOW !! No joke!! You will not regret it. The combo of narration, author and story line all comes together to be the most beautiful thing I've listened too in a very long time. I listened to 200+ books last year and this book stands out amongst them all! I am not a professional book reviewer lol so I don't know how to properly express all the fine points of 'like the wind' but what I can say is this book had me laughing out loud (which I never do), crying real tears while my heart was simultaneously squeezing itself to death, at the edge of my seat one minute and the fanning myself the next 💖 please oh please J. Bengtsson give us MORE!!!!!

Doesn’t compare with the Cake Series.

I loved J. Bengtsson’s Cake series so when I saw “Like the Wind” on the Audible Romance Package, and who the narrators were, I was very excited and instinctively grabbed a copy to listen.

J Bengtsson has a huge expectation to fulfil after her extraordinary Cake series. The storylines, the chemistry, sexual tension, and build-up to each Cake series love story was excellent. So I expected greatness here, too. My opinion: This novel was good, but not great for me.

Perhaps it’s unfair to expect Cake-like magic. I am convinced this author has great books in her, and I’ll be equally excited when her next one is published.

I am a huge fan of narrator Zachary Webber. In other novels, he is sometimes the reason I enjoy the story. His performance as Bodhi in this book however, is not my favourite as he sounds bored most of the time. But perhaps that’s Bodhi’s character – tired and cynical. Callie Dalton did a great job as lovely Breeze.

Engaging story with likable characters

I really liked this one! The characters were likable and their motivations believable. I found myself really wanting them to meet, then wanting them to stay together. I hate it when conflict is created by secrets and insecurities. There was none of that here. A great listen!

Hold on for a wild, fiery ride!

J. Bengtsson does it, again! She creates fantastic and unique characters, then pulls you in as if you were right there with them. Her witty banter and twists and turns take you on a fun roller coaster ride that will have you on the verge of tears, then crying with laughter shortly thereafter. Like the Wind is a breath of fresh air, and J. Bengtsson does not disappoint in her first venture outside of her super popular Cake series.

Fantastic book

Best story I’ve heard for a while. My mistake with this book was thinking I’d start listening to it in bed before going to sleep ...it got to 3 in the morning and I was still awake as it was too exciting to put down. And I kept silently laughing and making the bed shake so my husband thought something was wrong with me. I forced myself to go to sleep and immediately carried on listening as soon as I woke. Great characters, really enjoyable story, and the only thing that let it down was the slightly cheesy declarations towards the end that seemed to lose the charm that the rest of the book had with how real the dialogue felt and how genuine their relationship. Such a small niggle though so it can be easily overlooked.

I’ve enjoyed J. Bengtsson’s other books, but this one is now, by far, my favourite.

My favourite Bengtsson book! It's unmissable!

I don't know where to start I loved this audiobook so much! The storyline was unique I never heard anything quite like this one and it started with excitement and speed and characters I was invested in from the very beginning. Bengtsson writes complex 'real' characters with hurt and pain and this adds so much to their story and their love when it blossoms. Bodhi and Breeze were full of this, you love them and their journeys that have made them who they are. Added to this you get a full background of awesome characters to support them, families and friends who help you to understand your beloved main characters and with a dialogue that is second to none! I was laughing and crying and full of love for everyone in this story and would love there to be more! The narrators were excellent as usual, a good choice for these two characters and I felt I could see their story play out in my mind whilst listening to them. I will listen to this again and again!

A book to treasure!!

With a fabulous, fun, heart warming story, starring two lovely characters in Breeze and Bhodi, Like the Wind has completely won my heart. This is a story which I will return to regularly, especially if I need a pick-me-up. It starts with some heart stopping and vividly described, jeopardy and moves onto a delightful romance.
The narration by Callie Dalton and Zachary Webber is also warm, convincing and of a quality that ensures your concentration and focus is maintained throughout. A complete delight.

Awesome narration and love story!

Bodhi and Breeze meet by chance while escaping from the California wildfires and sparks of their own soon start to fly. The chemistry was immediate and I rooted for them from start to finish. The narration was awesome, especially Callie Dalton!

not her best like cake

lovely little story but nothing near as good as cake. but way better than rogue wave.
still would listen to her stories again but I'm missing the fact that the summary doesn't tell you the young ages of the characters. I was thinking they were older

Usually like this author...

I have to say that I absolutely love Cake by this author. The rest of the series is okay, not as good, but okay.
So I was excited to listen to this new one. Zachary Webber has very rarely let me down. The female narrator however was a terrible voice actor. The story is not great, and she just destroys it. Sounds very much like a YA type character and the phrases in the dialogue which may not have been meant for that inflection come off terribly. I have got about half way and Cannot finish it. I don’t even care about the storyline enough to carry on. I had such high hopes for this that I’m terribly disappointed and will return.
