Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Kristen Proby returns to tales beyond the natural and normal with her brand-new, captivating paranormal romance series that is sure to capture your heart and make you believe in magic.

Returning to her beloved home of Salem after a trip away, Lucy Finch can’t shake the feeling of anxiety that suddenly plagues her. Nor can she shrug off her third eye’s urging that she has a mission she must undertake—a secret she must uncover.

As a green witch, Lucy has always felt strongest and the most at home in the forest, surrounded by nature. But when a disturbing dream wakes her and sends her fleeing into the woods, she isn’t prepared for what she finds. She expected her element. Perhaps a message from spirit. She didn’t expect to cross paths with a sexy-as-sin man straight out of a movie scene.

Jonas Morley isn’t like the other residents of Hallows End. He knows the town’s secrets, as well as Salem’s, and it has been his honor and duty to protect them for as long as he can remember. But the gorgeous witch who graces the town’s hidden border shakes him and makes him second-guess his directive. She calls to him like no other. But can he save his home and those under his care and still make her his? Or will their union mean danger and destruction for not only them but also those who live within the town’s borders?

Curses don’t discriminate, and the curse of the blood moon is the most determined and dangerous of all.

Hallows End is the first book in the Curse of the Blood Moon series.

Loved this witchy book

This is the perfect witchy book to put you in a fall state of mind. I was riveted with Jonas and Lucy’s story. Who knew it took almost 331 years into a curse to meet your soul mate. But when their souls found each other their story was beautiful. It was full of protection spells, trying to find the mystery of the yearly witch deaths in Salem, their strong bond and a family who sticks together through thick and thin.
As someone who usually doesn’t get sucked into paranormal books I loved it more than I could imagine. I just loved who these characters were at the core and their connections. It wasn’t even just the connection between Jonas and Lucy but also Lucy and her cousins and with Giles and Xander. I really am excited for the next two books to read about Breena and Lorelei can get their happily ever after a while keeping everyone safe.

Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor were amazing in this book and brought it to life

So good

Wow this book was so different and the narrators just nailed Lucy and Jonas’ amazing chemistry. I do not want to give away anything in the story so I’m not going to do a recap I’m just going to say I cannot wait for the next book and I highly recommend this

One of my favorite books of 2022

If I could read this book over and over again I would be happy. Have you ever begun a series and just knew that it was going to be something special? The Curse of the Blood Moon is going to be just that.
I've lost count of how many times I have read this book already. Goodreads says 3 times, but I know there was another audio listen in there somewhere too. Sebastian York just was Jonas. 100% perfect narration.
Kristen PNR trilogies are everything and more. She has a true talent for the paranormal. I am so intrigued by Hallows End. The town and the story surrounding it is so good. The first time I read this book I couldn't read it fast enough. It's all so blended seamlessly. The bonds between the cousins are truly beautiful as well as their relationships. OMG the romance here I mean how great is the instant attraction between Lucy and Jonas. It's truly magical.

Perfect spooky read

I like to read stories about witches, ghosts, hauntings around Halloween time. I was thrilled that this trilogy was all ready for me to devour! I couldn't listen fast enough and listened to all 3 books so I could see how it ends. Great story telling that had me holding on to the very end.

Hallows End is Lucy and Jonas' story. Jonas is able to come between worlds and is hundreds of years old. Lucy meets him when he uses her back yard to go through to his world. These two were so sweet. They shared an instalove that gave them power to take on the evil surrounding them.

This story also lays the groundwork for Hallow's End and what Lucy and her cousins must do to help Jonas.

Great story loved it!

The narrators did a great job and I couldn't wait to get to book 2!

The Witchy Story I Needed This Season

This is the witchy romance I needed this spooky season! Lucy is a witch who lives in Salem, along with her cousins who are more like sisters. Jonas is a witch from 1692 who lives in town locked in a time bubble. This story is a bit of a spin off from Kristen Proby's Bayou Magic series. The whole book has Salem, Practical Magic, witchy vibes and I absolutely loved it. I am always looking for stories that give me that vibe and this one was perfection! There is an underlying paranormal suspense storyline that had me on edge the whole book. This is a true stand alone romance, but the suspense storyline will carry throughout the series. I could not put it down and can not wait for the next book in this series.

I listened to the audiobook during a reread and Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York were perfect for these characters. I was immediately drawn into the story and their tone and inflection gave me everything I needed and wanted.

Perfect witchy romance!!

Hallows End by Kristen Proby was a mystical and magical paranormal romance that was full of witches, secrets, suspense, and love! This is book 1 in Proby’s The Curse of the Blood Moon series, and it did not disappoint! Lucy and Jonas’ mesmerizing romance was full of supernatural twists and gripping turns that enraptured my heart from start to finish.

Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York narrate this audiobook. These two made it so easy to get lost in this story with their amazing performances which were pure magic! Samantha’s enchanting performance of Lucy’s passionate and determined spirit was alluring and sublime! Sebastian’s deep timbre made steadfast and dedicated Jonas even more mysterious and irresistible. The soul-mate chemistry between these two was magnetic!

Overall, I loved this audiobook! If you are a fan of a paranormal romance with a mysterious cursed hero, a red-headed green-thumbed witch looking for answers, secrets, life-lasting family bonds, Hallows End, modern-day Salem, fate, Ms. Sophia, sweet steamy times, danger, suspense, crazy plot twists, and a HEA that will cast a spell on your heart, then you will love Lucy and Jonas’ romance. I can’t wait for even more in this series!

Another great hit from KP

I love Kristen Proby’s books for a good love story with a family element. The witchy element to this story was enjoyable and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

Another hit!

She could write these books every month and I’d buy them all! Worth a credit for sure. About to read the second book but bummed the third won’t come out for awhile!
