Publisher's Summary

Miranda Puckett has failed at every job she’s ever had. Her mother just wants her to come home, join the family law firm, and settle down with Jason, the perfect lawyer boyfriend. But when Jason turns out to be a lying cheater, Miranda seizes on a job that gets her out of town: long-distance vampire transportation.

Her first assignment is to drive vampire Collin Sutherland from Washington to sleepy Half Moon Hollow without incident—no small feat for a woman whom trouble seems to follow like a faithful hound dog! And she has to do it without letting her passenger—the most persnickety, stuffy, devastatingly handsome vamp she’s ever met—drive her crazy. As she and Collin find disaster on the roads, they also find an undeniable spark between them. Could Miranda have found the perfect job and the perfect guy for her?

Way too short, but oh so good

I love Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi. With this winning combination you can never go wrong. Very entertaining and light hearted but a little too short. Worth a credit but its perfect on sale. Don't pass this one up.

Fun!

This whole series and spinoff series is so completely hilarious, I just can't even quantify it. Looking for some light, campy, vampire/shifter rom-com, this is the series for you! Love this whole world!

My Srar rating is misleading ...

I didn't listen to this book long enough to make a star rating, but I can't write a review without going through that stage ... please, please, Audible techs.

I couldn't even listen to a half hour of this book. The reader, Amanda Ronconi, although perhaps perfect for those who are fans, grated on my ear. I don't know regional US accents, but maybe it was to do with that; the emphasis pattern is part of the trouble.

I don't know if the book needed to be read in a "perky" style or it was Amanda Ronconi's decision, but she certainly was perky; rather than light hearted.

The text was a bit trying, it started with the main character complaining and excusing her actions for the entire time I listened ... which wasn't long, but I was lost to the book quickly.

It might be my baby boomer age, but I found what I did listen to juvenile. So, maybe it's intended for a youth market. I see others have found it "hilarious" but I found it didn't get me far enough to find out if this was indeed the case. I suspect for my Australian sense of humour, it wouldn't have proved to be so.

Listen well to the sample, give it a try, but I'm going to return it. Don't go by the star ratings ... on this one you really do have to make up your own mind.

Love Molly harper! but not this story!

I picked up most books from Molly Harper or read by Amanda Ronconi. Sadly this is not one of the most entertaining. I hardly remember the story plot after i finished it!

Would I re-listen to it? Not really, it havent let much impressions or parts I would want to listen to.

Is it worth a credit? No, I would prefer to use my credits on Harper's other works!

Terrific

This was hilarious. I laughed out loud several times listening to this, and that's a rare event. The author reminds me of Janet Evonivich in her self-deprechating ways and yet how she manages to get the job done.

Our heroine is a walking disaster area. Everything seems to go wrong, yet she somehow manages to pull things together at the last minute in some strange, and really funny way. This lighthearted romp through an alternate universe in which vampires and were-beings are "out" and humanity is learning to live with them is a great listen.

For anyone who needs some lighthearted listening, I recommend this.

Laugh out loud funny!

This was my first book by Molly Harper/Amanda Ronconi, and I really enjoyed it. I needed a good laugh and I wasn't let down. Warning: I had to switch to music while walking my dog the other night, so my neighbors didn't wonder who the crazy person laughing hysterically in the dark was! I've since downloaded a couple of other books by the duo and they're great too.

Hilarious and Sexy!

This is the funniest book! I loved the part with Dick Chaney and the rest of the gang. I love it that all the people from all the books know each other in some way. It's like coming home. Very hilarious and sexy book! It's better if you read all the books, but it would still be good if you only read this one.

Such a fun book!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes...made me laugh...great story...and it was soooo fun to listen too! You can really relate to Miranda....I think we have all had her kind of luck at one time or another,,,,I just wished it was longer...I listened to the whole book in one setting....it was soooo good!!!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Driving Mr. Dead?

The pink Boobs on the hood of the car was hilarious!!!!!!

Which scene was your favorite?

It was all good....really good!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Slapstick supernatural comedy that will have you laughing from scene 1!

Any additional comments?

I am definitely going to read more Molly Harper...she is soooooooo friggin funny....I cant wait for more!!!
