Publisher's Summary

Giovanni Roma was jilted at the altar. Twice. Meeting Natalie is an enchanting distraction - too bad she's engaged to another man. To top it off, Giovanni's mother has a mouth with no filter and is obsessed with finding her son a suitable baby-maker.

Natalie DeMarco is a good cop with one problem. Cold feet. Her fiancé is a decent man, but she's starting to wonder if decent is good enough. Maybe the doubts could be blamed on Giovanni, that guitar-making Italian hunk next door.

Giovanni knows he must do something, but things get out of hand when he learns he's not the only one who objects to the wedding.

Dog Day Wedding is a fast, fun romantic comedy that gives new meaning to the term, "Shotgun Wedding".

Very Funny Book

STORY REVIEW......

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The characters are hilariously funny and witty. The character of the mom is priceless. The things she would say. OMG she was so funny. I think the best part of the book was when she gave her son the sage advice to basically go flash the girl she wanted him to hook up with to give her grandchildren. This book is so worth getting and listening to. I loved it !!!

AUDIO REVIEW......

I found the narrator to be very good at reading the book as well as giving the characters life and voice. A well as attitude and humor. Great job.

Fun romantic comedy from the guy's perspective

Dog Day Wedding is a light and fluffy chick lit romance about Giovanni, who has been left at the altar twice. I was a bit worried that he would turn out to be an overly flawed character who drove women away, but he wasn't and I loved him. I couldn't stand his mother though - she was a truly horrible character whose inappropriate comments had had me laughing several times. I'm so glad she's not my mother in law! To balance out the manipulating mother, there was a cute little dog called Precious and a romance with the girl next door.

I listened to the audiobook edition of Dog Day Wedding, which I received free in exchange for an honest review. This is the second audiobook I have listened to from Michael Ferraiuolo. His performance was excellent this time too.

Very Funny!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book by Rich Amooi and narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo. It is a sweet and funny book. Giovanni has been jilted at the altar now twice, mainly because of his mom. He is a nice and caring guy so when he almost runs over a dog after leaving the church he goes after the dog. When he gets back to his car he finds an enchanting policewoman writing him a ticket. Natalie is engaged to a decent man but she is having cold feet. When Natalie and Giovanni become friends she starts to question whether or not she is marrying the wrong guy. This book is so funny and kept me listening until the end.

The narrator Michael Ferraiuolo, did a great job, and was very easy to listen too. This is the second book that I have listened to this narrator, and I am looking forward to listening to more books by him. He did a great job with the different characters and their voices.

If you are looking for a great FUNNY romantic comedy book with great characters, then you need to get this book! I am looking forward to listening to more books by this author.

This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of AudiobookBlast dot com.
Such a Fun Romantic Comedy!

Narration - Michael Ferraiuolo - Really Good! This is a book that requires some comedic timing and Michael does a great job. His H&h are pretty basic but he really has fun with the secondary and tertiary characters. Great young and old Italian men and Giovanni's crazy mom!

This is a romantic comedy that is very lighthearted and fun. I didn't get the cover at first, but after finishing, it now makes sense!

The book is filled with lots of fun banter as Giovanni tries to figure out why he keeps getting jilted at the alter with the help of an elderly Italian neighbor and his beautiful grand daughter Natalie - oh and we mustn't forget the little Yorkie 'precious'

Really cute and enjoyable listen! Will definitely look into Rich Amooi's other title(s)

Not my favorite but still lots of laughs

This is not family friendly due to language.

Having said that, I liked the story overall. It had its funny moments. I think the use of bad language was a turnoff for me. Mr. Amooi has a great sense of humor and I have enjoyed several of his other Romantic Comedies (my favorite being Kissing Frogs).

This is a story about a groom who is dumped twice at the altar. He has hilarious buddies who are a riot. His mother is way too much for me, but totally works as the author intended.

Narrator Michael Ferraiuolo performs wonderfully. I love his voice! In this performance, my favorite is his depiction of Frederico/Nono. I loved the Italian accent. Mr. Ferraiuolo easily goes from male to female characters and has a great time performing the entire cast written by Mr. Amooi. Overall, I have enjoyed all the narrators chosen by Mr. Amooi for his books. They do not disappoint.

Cute

Would you be willing to try another book from Rich Amooi? Why or why not?

Not sure. Mr. Amooi tells a very cute story, but I like a little more romantic closeness.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The male narrator did a horrible job. He sounded more like Sean Hayes from Will & Grace; not the the hunky Giovanni Roma that was planted in my mind.

Any additional comments?

Cute read. I usually don't read books by male authors. Mostly because I'm all about the romance. And, let's face it men know nothing about the romance women long for. But, this was a very cute read and had many funny moments.

listen to go to sleep quickly

This is not poorly written. Grammer is correct. I think this one of the lamest narrations ever and, well, everyone knows how it ends from the beginning. Never should have bought it but it did put me to sleep chapter by chapter for many nights.
