Gabe Lundin has it all: a wonderful girlfriend, a growing business, and an extended tight-knit family. But he misses his best friend. He and Camille grew up together, and she is in every memory and milestone in his life up until two years ago. Time and several bad choices have driven a wedge between them, and they have taken different paths. As he contemplates taking a life-changing plunge this Christmas season, his greatest hope is that they can rebuild their friendship, and she can be there to watch him walk down the aisle.
Single mom Camille Heskett focuses all her strength on her high-powered legal career and her daughter, Bella. She doesn't have time to hang out with her friends or even dream about those things she once wanted. She remains doggedly focused on ensuring that her daughter has everything and avoiding anyone who might be ashamed of the choices she has made.
A single newspaper announcement is about to leave Gabe, Camille, and all of their extended families' futures hanging in the balance. A dream long believed to be lost is waiting for both of them, and the journey home may end with the greatest surprise of all.
What a warm, heartfelt surprise this romance is. Colver House is your perfect, rainy day romance giving you all the fuzzy feelings you can think of. Gabe and Camille are lifelong best friends, and due to life circumstances had drifted apart. Throughout the years, they had a plan for Colver House, to make it into a bed and breakfast, and when the opportunity arose, Gabe called her and their dream began to come true. There are some definite twists and turns in their relationship, his girlfriend is the ultimate witch(with good reason), but some things in life are meant to be. You will enjoy this sweet romance, especially Bella..she is just so lovable.
Joette Marie is the narrator. She has a very pleasant voice, does decent separation of characters, though I found her cadence a little off at times. Things just didn't always seem to flow with ease.
