Publisher's summary

Things are heating up for the Sinclair boys! With one already in the NHL, Jayden Sinclair is hoping to be next!

This has been the toughest year of my life. I watched my brother go into the draft without me, my mom got divorced, and the weight of my family's issues is heavy on my shoulders. I feel like it's my job to fix everything while working my butt off in school and trying to make my game better. I have to go into the draft. It will give my family the support they need, and it will prove that I'm good enough. But to get there, I have to show I can be the best captain for the Bellevue Bullies. The spot is mine - no one can take it. First, though, Jude is making me go on a brothers' weekend. Innocent enough, I guess...until I see her. She's the biggest competitor I've ever faced. Not only for my spot but also for my heart. It's hard to ignore someone like Baylor Moore.

I don't lose. I can't. My dad has bred me to be the best in anything I do. I am driven, I am smart, and I am going to be the first woman in the National Hockey League. No two ways about it. I've worked too hard. I've been through too much not to have what I want. I know I can do it. I will make my dad proud, and no one will stand in the way of that. That is until I let him in. He scares me. He makes me feel. And he could very well be the one person who can make me want more than just to win. We both have the same goal: victory. But how do you compete against the person you want to win? It's not easy. Love isn't something you can control. It isn't like a puck that can be handled by a stick. No, it has a mind of its own and does what it wants.

Neither of us saw it coming, and we really don't know if there is a way to score, especially when you're being Clipped by Love.

Love story surprise!

This audiobook was such a good listen! The second brother in this hockey based series is a cocky dude who sees a girl on campus and is instantly smitten. After pursuing her he finds out that she's actually his coach's daughter and has high aspirations. Nevertheless. The pursuit is on! I loved the interaction between the two and loved the way their story comes to fruition. Narration was excellent.

Loved it

I loved this book couldn't put it down. The Sinclair brothers Jude, Jayden and Jace are spending their last week in Florida before they go back to school and the NHL for Jude. Baylor Moor is also spending the weekend in Florida with her two friends Delanie and her twin sister Mandi before going back to school. When the girls are at the beach enjoying the sun they see the Sinclair brothers goofing off and soon Jace calls to them. The girls decide to go to the brothers party that night at their rented home, but after spending time with Jayden, Baylor decides that she wants to sleep with him, but Jayden decides not to because they are drunk. Baylor feels embarrassed and angry at Jayden because he didn't tell her but told her friend instead. Few months later Baylor and her dad are moving because he accepted a new job, he's now the new coach for the Bellevue Bullies hockey team. Baylor is nervous because she will see Jayden after a few months since their big fight. Jayden and Jace are surprised when they sees Baylor on the ice ready to practice with them, and soon Jayden takes it upon himself to protecter her from other teams and a few from their own team. Jayden and Jace are going to the draft to go to the NHL to join Jude, and Baylor is working hard to become the first female to play in the NHL.

Love the book because of Jaden but.......

Baylor dragged the story line so much, I actually hated her! lol but of course in the end I still loved her, I hope at the end though all the Sinclairs will play for Assassins.

Clipped by Love

I wished I had listen to these in the order they were written. Because I finished the Assassin series then I started this one and I feel like I just knew them already and I wasn’t really interested in going back in time.

I understand that these are side players and their stories are not in the NHL yet but I am just sad I didn’t listen before they were if that makes any sense at all.

Because I didn’t really like their story until 3/4th the way through, I almost stopped listening because I was just not into it.

I am glad overall that I finished because it did give context to the later stories. And the first girl in the NHL awesome.

So this review is really more about me than the story.

I enjoyed the narration soooo much!!

would have given higher score...

Would have given a higher score, although such a spoiled - spoiled girl .... she made me want to quit listening, but had to keep listening for Jayden to have a women he deserves. . . at first I could understand why she acted the way she did but then she showed her selfish - spoiled self!

Girl power? I think not, B*tch attack more like it

Man at this point I really hate Baylor. She has penis envy like no one I've seen. I would really really love to be at the NHL game when she gets torn up on the ice. I'd love to see this chick get plowed over by those 6 foot plus 200+lbs guys and not cry as they check her on the boards. And if they held back then they aren't playing to their fullest potential and they're holding back because shes a girl.

Also when she was playing street hockey against Jayden he kept waiting for her, had she been a dude he wouldn't. Plus she elbowed him in the balls and felt justified. So she plays dirty and feels she isn't. But if he had elbowed her in any of her ladybits, yeah we already know that outcome.

All in all I want to skip this but I won't, just because I want to hear Jayden's story. But man Jude's was soooo much better. Even if I hated all Claire's lies and was soooooo happy when she was found out and I loved Jude's response to it. I see a pattern in these books where the chicks have the issues and yet still come out ahead. Yeah no.

Also I don't care for the female narrator, she makes Baylor sound even more b*tchy which is definitely adding to my negative feelings for Baylor.

Just finished listening, still hate her. Shes ridic, and Jayden still too good for her. And I totally had to suspend my disbelief with this story. Sorry but everything I thought would happen, happened. She will cripple any team shes on because people have to watch out for her because she can't play like a man. She might be a great skater, she might be fast. But have a guy ram into her and yeah shes in the hospital. Shes a liability not an asset.

The narrator is too young. It is really so sad because I loved the Assassins series.

A little long, but...

I LOVED Book One (Boarded by Love), which is why I was so surprised by how many times this book annoyed me. I understand the prideful heroine, but the chip on Baylor's shoulder was so large that certain aspects of the story dragged and dragged for no reason other than to make the book longer. I find that sometimes authors work so hard to make a hero likeable that the heroine suffers.

The narrators did a great job with what they had. Joe Arden is a particular favorite of mine.

This is not going to stop me from going on to Book 3, though. I need to know what happens with the 3rd Sinclair brother.
