Loved it! *slight spoiler in review*

This was a new to me author, and the book was a hit. I'm not entirely sure that it was overly exciting, but the local to me setting and mafiaish sub-plot kept me entertained. (spoiler) <<I had a feeling there was an unreliable narrator in one of our two main characters, but was surprised to find out that it wasn't the person that I thought it was. It's always nice when I can be outwitted by the author, as that doesn't seem to happen very often.>> (end spoiler) The audio book was very well done, and I am excited to read the next book, Damaged: The Dillon Sisters.

Omg, that twist! Perfection!

“Because, sometimes, depraved, debauched - Hell, or even Deathly- is the only option.”.. With a quote like this in the description of this book, how could I say no to it?! I love a great dark, twisted, suspenseful romance. Brynne Asher is a new to me author, and I went into this book completely blind. I am so glad I did! I was so totally obsessed with Brynne’s style of writing, and captivated by Dr. Aria Dillion and Brand Vitale’s story.
I do not want to give too much away in details, as it’s just that twisted and unique. Oh boy, those secrets that both characters keep! Wow!
From the very first time they meet it was an instant, intense, and immediate sexual chemistry which had me holding my breath. Both of these characters are so intense with everything they say and do from page 1 to the end. Brand, who’s very dominant, intense, bossy, demanding, and extremely impatient captivated me from the start. I feel head over heels for him instantly. Aria who’s so selfless, straight and narrow, complex, professional therapist, and timid. At the same time she knows what she wants, what’s she’s scared to have… she makes a life changing spur of the moment decision that allows Brand, the smoking hot firefighter (and Mafia boss’ son) to come into her life. Brand is immediately very persistent on pursuing Aria, and is also immediately very possessive of her. She thinks he’s very rude, reckless, and she’s scared of the heavy emotions she’s feeling toward him. Both hold a very deep and dark secrets of each of their pasts. Soon they both become all consumed in each other. The flow of the storyline was so captivating from beginning to end! Brynne did such an amazing job of this super roller coaster of a ride, and extremely kinky, sexy story! This had so many twists that were SO MAJOR, I am so impressed! I would have never figured it was going to turn out the way it did! Bravo Brynne!
Narration was by Desireé Ketchum and Joe Arden. Desireé was just sublime! Her portrayal of Aria was simply amazing. Her character had such a huge emotional range, and Desireé made you feel what Aria was feeling, and I felt like I was right there with her. In her self dialogue, she can go from very self doubting to very intense and self assured, Awesome job! Joe Arden’s performance was just divine. This is my favorite type of character I enjoy listening to Joe perform. He sure does have that whole “AlphaHole” tone and pace down to perfection. He portrays this completely domineering, sometimes scary over protective man who’s not playing around when it comes to someone he loves perfectly. I really enjoyed the many layers of this character Joe brought to life. I couldn’t ask for more, I absolutely loved it!
So, if you are looking for a extremely well written and performed Suspenseful, utterly captivating, steamy dark romance, look no further.. this one is for you! It completely blew my mind! I can’t wait to re-listen now I know all the secrets to the twists and turns that I never saw coming. More than a 5 star story and performance for me!

Work Was Easy

The story was absolutely beautiful. I was able to complete my work day with only one hiccup- and it was so worth it. That’s when I took my break. Only to go over my break time. IT WAS WORTH IT ALL

This story had all kinds of mystery and twists! The love story was so good, the spice was spicing, the characters were well thought out and the narrators were PHENOMENAL! You can NEVER go wrong with Joe Arden & Desiree Ketchum! I got this book for FREE and will be buying the second book!

Really enjoyed this one

The plot was decent, the narration really made this book! Ugh Joe Arden😍 this was a quick good read, definitely an interesting plot twist towards the end. I recommend for Joe Arden’s fans 😂
