Publisher's Summary

During his academic years, Lee Strobel became convinced that God was outmoded, a belief that colored his ensuing career as an award-winning journalist at the Chicago Tribune. Science had made the idea of a Creator irrelevant, or so Strobel thought.

But today science is pointing in a different direction. In recent years, a diverse and impressive body of research has increasingly supported the conclusion that the universe was intelligently designed. At the same time, Darwinism has faltered in the face of concrete facts and hard reason.

Has science discovered God? At the very least, it's giving faith an immense boost as new findings emerge about the incredible complexity of our universe. Join Strobel as he re-examines the theories that once led him away from God. Through his compelling account, you'll encounter the mind-stretching discoveries from cosmology, cellular biology, DNA research, astronomy, physics, and human consciousness that present astonishing evidence in The Case for a Creator.

    "Science and Faith 101"

A great primer to make scientific issues and their interaction with faith accessible to lay persons. Revealing the majesty of God through science.

"A MUST READ for any atheist!"

A must read for any atheist. The evidence Strobel provides dismantles the theories of Darwinism one-by-one. Even though it's preached and widely accepted as fact, macroevolution theory is actually very bad science, and in fact requires more blind faith to believe than does an " intelligent designer". Fascinating stuff! Read for yourself!

    "Life-Changing!"

Compelling, logical, scientific, and easy to read. This book is for anyone who is skeptical about the existence of God. Prepare to have your current world view turned upside down, or as I'd like to say, right side up.

    "This is a must read."

Great book for someone looking to clarify the intertwined relationship between faith and science. A caveat though. It is heavy on the science and philosophy so it is not for the novice in science.

"This I think is not the best book by Strobel but is far better than many books"

I think his best book is "The Case for Christ". This book is still far better in terms of readability and the overall balance as an apologetics book than many other books in the market. Strobel offered a wonderfully approachable, high-quality, and thus actually "marketable" product of the apologetics knowledge that closes the gap between the readership and the scholars, which most apologists, and even those who oppose the Christianity should learn about with a humble attitude and intellectual honesty in mind.

"Great review on the science of creation"

In Lee Strobel fashion, he investigates and dissects the experiments and science behind much of Darwinism as well as the naturalist worldview of creation including the big bang, the challenge of other life within the universe, etc. The author does a great job of interviewing many experts in these fields who refute many of the "foundational" studies of which most of these arguments are based. A great book for anyone who is analytical in their approach to questions and is open to learning more.

    "Science for Today"
Would you listen to The Case for a Creator again? Why?

An interesting look at where science is at today. If you are looking for signs of god in the universe, Lee points to things that are unique to our planet. Our moon is very unique, there may actually not be another like it. The sun's diameter is about 400 times larger than that of the moon – and the sun is also about 400 times farther from Earth. So when a solar eclipse happens, our moon fits exactly inside of the sun. Coincidence? This phenomenom allows us to study our sun more closely and has given scientists many answers about our sun and other stars. Our planet sits in the perfect place in our galaxy. If it were any closer in, it would be crushed. If it were any further out, it wouldn't support life.

    Theres more.

"A scientifically reasoned research project into the existence of God"

The author takes a skeptical approach to interview leading scientists about the evidence for and against the belief in Evolution and Creationism and clears up a lot of uncertainty along the way.

    "Excellent book."

Really enjoyed this book. More and more science fight against the lie of evolution. Already read (The case for Christ). Both were prepared well and plenty of research was done.
