Publisher's Summary

All of us long to know what life after death will be like. Best-selling author John Burke is no exception. In Imagine Heaven, Burke compares over 100 gripping stories of near-death experiences (NDEs) to what Scripture says about our biggest questions of heaven: Will I be myself? Will I see friends and loved ones? What will heaven look like? What is God like? What will we do forever? What about children and pets?

For decades, Burke has been studying accounts of survivors brought back from near death who lived to tell of both heavenly and hellish experiences. While not every detail of individual NDEs correlate with Scripture, Burke shows how the common experiences shared by thousands of survivors - including doctors, college professors, bank presidents, people of all ages and cultures, and even blind people - point to the exhilarating picture of heaven promised in the Bible.

This thrilling journey into the afterlife will make you feel like you've been there. It will forever change the way you view the life to come and the way you live your life today. You'll discover heaven is even more amazing than you've ever imagined.

Great book

Great book- amazing stories .. I very much enjoyed this book. I could do without the readers change in voices thought out the story. It was distracting and took away from the stories.

I want everyone I know and love to know this book

After reading this book and then listening to the Audible I am convinced, again, that God is reaching out to us in ways that we can’t always see or hear. And so with this, I know that I now want everyone I know, and especially everyone I love, to know everything that is contained within this book. It is a life changer!!

Informative, exciting and fulfilling. A must read for those interested in NDE

This book was very informative about NDE. It also relates many of the real life situations of today to historic bible passages or words of Jesus Christ. I find that so helpful and fulfilling. I would recommend this to all interested readers.

Inspired Imaginating Continuously!

It's by far one of the best books on Near Death Experiences I've ever read. It made me appreciate and long for the unconditional love of Jesus who is God and the Lord.

Beautiful and Delightful

I love the fact that John Burke is able line scriptures side by side these experiences to help us image heaven. I love his honesty in some stories he wasn't sure about. This book has made me think of Heaven in different light, it will be an amazing sight to see and it will be more than we can ever imagine it to be.
Lastly I comment Tristan Wright in his ability to narrate this book to use us in such a visually stimulating way. Great job!

I recommend this book to all believers and lover of God.

Good content, distracting reading style

What made the experience of listening to Imagine Heaven the most enjoyable?

The author researched thousands of near-death experiences (NDE's), and wrote about the greatest commonalities, in comparison to Scriptural accounts. This is very helpful support for the Biblical teachings.

How could the performance have been better?

The reader would change his voice to indicate quotations, seeking to imitate women, children, foreign accents, lisps, and various levels of education or social standing. If it had been done more subtly, it could have been useful. As it was, I found the vocal distortions to be a hindrance to absorbing the material. The narrator's normal reading voice was just fine.

Any additional comments?

This book is an encouragement to Christian faith, overall. The Arminian interpretation becomes heavy-handed at some points, but the core content of comparing commonalities of near-death experiences with the teaching of Scripture is excellent.

I wish a different person narrated.

Would you consider the audio edition of Imagine Heaven to be better than the print version?

No

What was one of the most memorable moments of Imagine Heaven?

High pitched male voice of the narrator.
He changed his voice when he read
the quotes of different people
and it was sort of annoying.
I wish it was read by Dan Woren.
Would you be willing to try another one of Tristan Wright’s performances?

No.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No. The book sounded so light because of the narrator.
