With the global economy recovering from a steep recession, and with that recovery challenging our long-held ideas about what careers and the market can be, learning the basics of economics has never been more essential. Principles such as gains from trade, the role of profit and loss, and the secondary effects of government spending, taxes, and borrowing risk continue to be critically important to the way America's economy functions, and critically important to understand for those hoping to further their professional lives - even their personal lives.

Modern culture is increasingly outspoken against a biblical understanding of what it means to be a woman. Even some Christians, swayed by the LGBTQ+ movement, have rejected God’s word on issues of sexuality and gender in favor of popular opinion. In light of these pressures, it’s more important than ever to help women see the truth about who God created them to be. In this powerful book, Rosaria Butterfield uses Scripture to confront 5 common lies about sexuality, faith, feminism, gender roles, and modesty often promoted in our secular culture today.

You’ll find practical ideas for discerning God’s will, and you’ll hear stories of ordinary men and women - just like you - who are living by the Rule and how it has transformed their lives and the lives of those they reach out to. The 10-Second Rule is a call to rediscover the revolutionary power of simple obedience as Jesus taught it and the early church lived it, before religious Christianity tamed it!

Let's face it. Church isn't working. We hear sermons about the abundant life Jesus promised, but how many of us are actually living it? How many of our churches are thriving? How many people in our congregations are experiencing God's blessings? Maybe it's time to call it quits. Quit church? Well, not exactly. Drawing from his experience coaching hundreds of churches toward true growth, Chris Sonksen calls on us to quit our casual, cultural commitment to church as we know it....

Everyone knows Sarah’s story - that she died proclaiming her faith. But it’s not true. I know because I was with her when she died. I didn’t say anything then, and people got hurt because of it. Now Sarah’s parents are publishing a book about her, so this might be my last chance to set the record straight. Except Sarah’s martyrdom is important to a lot of people, people who don’t take kindly to what I’m trying to do.

Killing Lions is more than fatherly advice. It is an invitation into a journey: either to be the son who receives fathering or the father who learns what must be spoken. Great for anyone who thinks there is more out there and those that don't
Great concepts presented in an encouraging manner with specific direction. Must read for teens and parents of teens.

I believe that everyone can take something different from a book read, but I think that if you give this book a chance you will find some. Maybe something life changing and beautiful!

a great starting point
This book is a great starting point for someone (not only teens) to help them turn their life into a positive example and a way to overcome the ingrained stereotypes that we get trapped in. It is also a great tool for someone to use when trying to show teens their potential!
