Based on Dharma talks by Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh and insights from participants in retreats for healing the inner child, Reconciliation is an exciting contribution to the growing trend of using Buddhist practices to encourage mental health and wellness.

Reconciliation focuses on the mindful awareness of our emotions and the healing of our relationships as well as meditations and exercises to acknowledge and transform the hurt that many of us experienced as children. Hanh shows how anger, sadness, and fear can become joy and tranquility by learning to breathe with, explore, meditate, and speak about our strong emotions.

Written for a wide audience and accessible to people of all backgrounds and spiritual traditions, Reconciliation offers specific practices designed to bring healing and release for people suffering from childhood trauma.

This is the great book but very bad narration. Ironically the book should make you feel centered, grounded and uplifted, but all you feel is anger at the syrupy, cooing tone of voice of the narrator. Where was the editor? Have to return it and get a printed copy.

Get the printed copy, great book, but the narration is terrible

I have to reread this book in a physical copy because the narrator’s voice is very mournful. If you’ve ever heard Thich Nhat Hanh speak, he has a way of speaking the most serious topics with joy. I have liked all the other narrators for Thich Nhat Hanh’s books but this particular narrator... I just couldn’t get over how sad his voice was- it was very distracting and not in align with the nourishing content of the book.

Excellent content but poor narration

I very much enjoyed this book, so much so I am re-listening to it; as to continue to learn from it. Yes the author speaks from a Budist Philosophy perspective, which I enjoyed. but if you listen to the message it pertains to all of us regardless to our beliefs. For those reviewers who rejected this book because of this you lost out on an important lesson. I highly recommend you add this book to your reading list.

Exceptional!!!
