will written story engaging. narration was very good way to listen to. you will enjoy it

Great Story

I enjoyed the series, I don’t know that I quite cared for the sarcastic, sardonic lead in the series but I guess that’s just because attitudes and sarcastic replies from anyone normally grate me. The overall storyline was very good. I was surprised a little bit at the end. I would read other books by this author.

This surprised me- from the very beginning I was hooked. What I love about this author is all her books are very different stories. The first book I heard from her, I wasn’t a huge fan but this is the third and they just keep getting better. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic dragon trilogy!

Ragond's Portal War is an exciting young adult dragon fantasy set including the entire trilogy of the Ragond’s Portal Wars series. This series is truly exciting from start to finish. And I was drawn in right away. Our MC Nova is a sixteen-year-old who has been in the foster system since her father died and her mother disappeared.

Despite the hardships Nova has faced she does have a close friend a talking dragon finds them and claims to know Nova’s mother. They are convinced to go with the through a portal to another world, Ragond.

The new world has magic and dragons, and Nova learns her family was born there and she must help prevent an enemy who wants to take over Ragond and Earth. Nova begins training as a dragon rider. And her friend Zephyr also begins to become a witch. Many secrets abound and it’s possible that Nova and Zephyr could be harmed by some of the people who are supposed to be helping them who don’t want them to succeed.

This is an intriguing story with great world-building that captured my imagination and invested me in the characters. The storyline flows well and I loved the mystery and danger woven throughout the trilogy. The Narrator is Rebekah Nemethy who truly brings the world to life! I highly recommend the series is was an excellent listen!

Another great dragon listen and or read by Ava that everyone would enjoy. I would recommend this series and overall this author if you are looking to read and or listen about dragons.

A must listen

I love the characters in this series Nova and zephyr and two young orphan girls with no ties to earth and when a dragon appears to tell Nova she is needed to save Ragond and her mother she evaluates her life and takes the chance. Zephyr her best friend won’t be left behind. Nova is very opinionated and impatient wanting to find her mother immediately. Zephyr wants to stay and learn to become a witch. When Nova finds a dragon egg everything changes. This is a fun, thrilling listen that draws you into the story of dragons, magic, death and adventure. Loved it.

The Narrator of the audiobook is Rebekah Nemethy and she does an awesome job with the voices, great intonation and makes it easy for the listener to get a good idea of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood and is an enjoyable way to “read” the book.

Great dragon series in one bundle!

If you like dragons, you will like this story. The narrator is really good at immersing the reader into the story, and the writer did a fantastic job with the world and story building, and the characters' depiction. I just listened to it as soon as I had a moment because I couldn't wait to know the next twist or revelation...
Just get your copy, it's highly enjoyable!

Dragons and magic

I can honestly say I didn’t like putting this book down so to speak.
Nova’s journey to find her mother and what she went through with friends and dragons by her side was epic.
Really well narrated and drew you in.

Fantastic

Loved all three books. Began listening while walking the dog. Then spent more and more time listening during the day. Good thing that as a retired seventy something I had the time to do this. The story structure is sound, and very difficult to guess what is going to happen next, which I like. It’s not perfect all the time, overall has been most enjoyable. I like the way that while telling the main characters story there is also interesting things going along with other characters at the same time. Easy to visualise the surroundings and context also. Great job Ava.

Fantastic dragon adventure

Another amazing dragon academy adventure! Fantastic world building with strong characters and action packed adventure. Following Nova and Zephyr into Ragond a land with magic, dragons and a growing threat. Being taken by dragon is a shock and discovering a new world with magic, dragons and an academy is a greater shock. Learning and training at a dragon rider academy is the start of mysteries and discoveries as well as a war brewing. This is an exciting, enjoyable and fast paced dragon rider academy adventure.

The narration is amazing and spot on as is the narrator who is one of my favourites.
