The Stone Crown grants ultimate power—but finding it may destroy the world.

A sinister force rises in the fractured kingdoms of Torvald, where dragons, once revered as symbols of hope, have faded into myth. Lady Inyene, a ruthless noble of the Northern Kingdom, enslaves villagers and pillages resources to fuel her mechanical dragons. Her ambition? To conquer her rivals, seize the High Throne, and unite the realms under her iron rule.

But hope still flickers in the shadows.

Sixteen-year-old Narissea dreams of escaping her chains, even as her defiance has earned her harsh punishments. When she rescues an injured dragon and discovers a forgotten shrine, she uncovers a secret that could save the kingdoms—or doom them all. The path forward is perilous, pitting her against Inyene’s relentless forces, treacherous allies, and the dark power of the Stone Crown itself.

As war and betrayal sweep the land, Narissea and her dragon must risk everything. Failure means death, but even victory could cost her the freedom she has fought for all her life.

Packed with epic battles, forbidden secrets, and the unbreakable bond between dragon and rider, The Stone Crown box set includes Dragon Connection, Dragon Quest, and Dragon Freedom.

The narrator ruined it for me. She was/is horrible! The dragon sounds like a cheesy vampire, the characters are all whiney, and way too high pitched. I'm going to buy the series and read it instead... actually cannot listen to the narration

I agree with almost everyone else

This is a good story, but the narrator is horrible. There were places that I could barely get through.

This is the twenty-sixth book I have read/listened to by this author and I have really enjoyed the various series she has written. They span centuries cantered around the same world. I love how the interaction between the dragons and people varies between geographical locations and time. This story did not turn out to be near the top of my favourites but is still an integral part of the overall and I did enjoy it. I will listen to anything she writes. I previously listened to book 1&2 and have reviewed them independently. I got this to listen to book 3. ——-

This is the third book I have listened to by this narrator ( Amy Soakes ) and I would not choose to listen to another solely based on her narration. This being the third book, I’ve managed to mostly ignore it and try to focus on the story, however it was difficult. I still find her style inconsistent with the author’s description of emotions or actions. The narrator gives a Nari a snobbish, indifferent tone that is not portrayed in the wording. The emphasis she places on words make every conversation sound haughty and whiny. I do not think this is appropriate for the characters or storyline. She uses somewhat distinct voices for the characters, but the cadence and tone remain quite similar. I sampled some other books and this tone and style is her norm, not specific to this series. .——-

There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence, or swearing. ——-

In the end the riding was better, but I had to stop listening a lot of times and read by my own

God story, bad riding
