Publisher's Summary

Willa Knight: Dweller? Bad-ass? Notorious pet to five magical beings? In Blesswood, there are rules, and someone is trying to teach her how to follow them. The only problem is Willa. Which shouldn’t be anything new, since she has been a problem since birth — something her pseudo-sister Emmy would agree on. So it definitely shouldn’t be new, but it is. Because things are starting to happen that have never happened before. Things are starting to get chaotic.

Hooked on these books

The narrator is amazing the way she reads the story to you. I catch myself laughing out loud. I put my ear buds in and close my eyes and I'm in a whole other world. I just can't get enough.

A little too much tension

I’m really enjoying this series. There’s a lot of humour and a lot of love flying around, though maybe the unsatisfied sexual tension is starting to grate a little. If I were to give it a rating like movies and tv shows, this would definitely be PG. I sincerely hope it matures soon.

The only regret I have is not waiting until the entire series is complete before starting it.

VM changed a couple of her character voices this time. She has given Yale a gruff, gravelly voice while Cohen’s has become a little lighter in pitch.

These authors are teases!!! I need the adult gratification. Who am I to lie?

This book... yes. Yes yes yes. Joy. Love. Excitement. Thrills. Hilarity. Reverse harem for the damn win. Please please release book 3 on audible. And I can't believe we have to wait for Book 4 and 5 still... this is torture!!!!!

Narration might be lacking but the story is worthy

I loved the first book and was pumped to see the second one came out. I only wish they got someone who sounded a little more mature.

Light hearted and Playful

Persuasion reads like an Adam Sandler movie of Fantasy novels. Take that how you'd like. Its funny and playful.

But... yes there is a but... there is a point where Willa's character goes from being cute to an annoying dimwitted dumdum who is as sharp as a balling ball. And for those who don't know - Bowling balls aren't sharp at all. I mean I understand she isn't Einstein but dang... can she have at least one meaningful thought. She is our lead character but she didn't grow/develop at all in this book.

And if there is going to be an all out brother orgy then let's get to it already. The dragging out of the sexual tension gets annoying. Every five minutes of the book we are almost about to get ready to do it but not really. That was hard to read, right. My point exactly. The story of the Gods really intrigues me but we can't get into the deep stuff because our lead character is so shallow.

What I hope for book 3 is some character development for Willa and the brothers. Then let's delve into the world of the Gods and get more insight on what's really happening.

I think I preffer reading it instead

it wasn't the performance but the lack of a male voice actor to help this story, over all it's a good story. a view of a different world, I enjoyed the antics this heroine goes thru and the progress she makes to the connection to her boys.

Hysterical

Cutest series ever! Best read in a long time. Managing 5 Gods and hormones is truly a feat of humorous delight.

Just OK

This is Book 2 of the 5 Book series. This one wasn't too exciting, but we did learn that Willa isn't just a Dweller. I assume the next book will be where some good stuff happens?

***SPOILERS*** SUMMARY: So there’s more sexual tension in Book 2 between Willa and the Abcurse brothers. However, they made a pact that no one of the brothers could do anything sexual with Willa. However, they continue to protect and care for her. They also can hear each other’s thoughts so there is a lot of messing around with each other; there’s also some light kissing with a few of the guys. Will and the Brothers are forced to participate in the arena again and then Willia is kidnapped back to Topia. The guys come to save her and when they return to Blesswood they experiment with her to find out what her powers are since she seems to be healing like a God. Turns out she is a Beta God of Chaos... well, she will be once she dies...

On to Book 3!

Where's the next installement already???

I loved this book, where's the next one?!?!?!?

Willa's relationship with the boys is endearing despite being completely atypical of a normal relationship. Willa Toy / Dweller baby is an oddity to all but a very likable honest character who takes quirky and weird to a whole new level.

I have a feeling we are still yet to fully realise what she actually is. And I would imagine when we do it will be a bit of a shock to all and she will gain some much deserved respect.

I feel each brother should have his own book I want to know more about each one.....I'm sad the next instalment isn't recoded as yet.

I'd also love to see a book on the "Jeffrey's" just because I find them really rather odd. Its like a Harry Potter "Dobby" character to the gods. I want them to rebel also as the structure of the dwellers / Sols / Gods is odd.

Basically I want more....as I found them light hearted and enjoyable to listen to whilst decorating my house. Very easy to dip in and out of but just as easy to get hooked on as Willa is such a funny feisty character.

Another great story/audio

read this book already and got excited when I learned it was available on audiobook, but some of my favourite books have been read by narrators that I just could not listen to so there was also some aprehension as well

My concerns were null and void, the narrator is AWESOME! She really brought this amazing story to life, her voice IS Willa! The quality is clear as a bell with no weird background noises and her voices for the other characters are excellent and slip in seamlessly

I highly recommend this book and the audio, it's lovely to listen to, relaxing, soothing, exciting and draws you deep I to the story, I very highly recommend

Awesome series - can't wait for the next book

Persuasion is the second book in the Curse of the Gods series and it's just as good and funny as the first. Vanessa Moyen does a great job with the narration and perfectly brings chaotic Willa's character to life, with the Abcurse brothers close behind. She differentiates between the voices well so you can tell who's speaking and made it a joy to listen to. Will definitely listen to this again. 5 stars!

More Please

Book 2

In my opinion, I think it is even better (well duhhh). Because we are starting to uncover what Willa really is. Was totally hook, I listened to it over and over again.

On top of that, besides uncovering Willa each books (3 more books left to go) concentrated on different guys, hence, the colour of the books

I have to give credit to where credit is due, the Author and the narrator. It was awesome to listen as well as the characters was so believable.

Good lord

The amount of sexual tension in each chapter made it incredibly cringey and difficult to listen to, I enjoyed book 1 with the flirting present every now and then but this is just too much.
