A New York Times Book Review Summer Read and Edgar Award nominee! Don’t miss this unputdownable psychological thriller! Perfect for fans of Lucy Foley and Ruth Ware!

When you really start to look beyond the airy open floor plans and marble counters, Brighton Hills is filled with secrets. Some big, some little, some deadly. And one by one, they’re about to be revealed… “A writer to watch.” —Publishers Weekly

The perfect neighborhood can be the perfect place to hide…

Who wouldn’t want to live in Brighton Hills? This exclusive community on the Oregon coast is the perfect mix of luxury and natural beauty. Stunning houses nestle beneath mighty Douglas firs, and lush backyards roll down to the lakefront. It’s the kind of place where neighbors look out for one another. Sometimes a little too closely…

Cora thinks her husband, Finn, is cheating—she just needs to catch him in the act. That’s where Paige comes in. Paige lost her son to a hit-and-run last year, and she’s drowning in the kind of grief that makes people do reckless things like spying on the locals, searching for proof that her son’s death was no accident…and agreeing to Cora’s plan to reveal what kind of man Finn really is. All the while, their reclusive new neighbor, Georgia, is acting more strangely every day. But what could such a lovely young mother possibly be hiding?

Looking for another heart-pounding thriller? Don't miss Seraphina Nova Glass’s next thriller, TOO CLOSE TO HOME, where an explosion and missing resident unearth dark secrets that shatter the idyllic veneer of an elite lakefront community...

I absolutely loved this book! I listen to 3-4 audiobooks a week while I work. I only write reviews on ones that really grip me, and this one did! I am still thinking about it even after reading two more since I finished it. It keeps you guessing and the twists and turns make it so you don’t want to stop listening! I love it when I find a book that is exciting and completely captures my attention. Well worth the credit spent!

Interesting story very well told. I have listened to every story narrated by Imogene Church-my favorite. iThis is by far the best story I have heard in a long time. Highly recommend.

Engaging!

This book is full of badass women lifting each other up through so many different types of trauma and it literally had me cheering at the end - highly recommend!

Such a good ending

With over 700 books in my library, this one is a favorite. Captivating storyline and Imogen Church is brilliant as always.

The story I’ve been waiting for!

If there was an Oscar for narrating audiobooks, Imogen Church would have one. I actually can’t believe it was one person the whole time. The story was great and the characters are excellent but she really brought it to life. As far as the story, I really liked that the characters acted pretty realistically and it helped me stay invested in them. I couldn’t stop listening and I’m so sad it’s over.

Best narrator I’ve ever heard!

I am enjoying the book, but I REALLY dislike the narrator. I am going to keep listening because I like the story, but the inflection and tone of the reader is like fingernails on a chalkboard!! She sounds like a teenage valley girl! It is almost ruing the book for me. (The only voice that is tolerable is the British character).

Didn’t love the narrator!

This story kept me so intrigued and fascinated. The twists and turns were surprising and kept me listening in spite of needing to get some things done. There were a lot of negative comments about the narrator, but I thought she did a great job. Yes, one of the characters had a very annoying voice initially, but it went along with the storyline in my opinion. Highly recommend and will look forward to other books by this author.

Kept My Attention

I have yet to finish the book, I’m at the tail end of it and thought I would wait until then to leave a review (my first review of an audio book) but this narration is so whack. It’s so all over the place I’m actually laughing. I would recommend reading this book over listening for sure.

Haven’t finished yet…but

I love the way the author writes. Very relatable and insightful about people and the secrets that we keep. Everybody has secrets and this book proves that life isn’t always what it seems.

Performance was amazing
