Some value here, but not much

A pretty tawdry tale with not much to recommend itself, but the depiction of the black woman trying to raise her son in the midst of an abusive relationship is well done and the reader narrating her story is strong.

Plot twist

Well written and thought out. Would definitely recommend to anyone to read or listen to.

I thought it was a nice easy listening to book. I enjoyed the characters and the plot.

easy and entertaining

the plot twists and turns in very engaging ways. i loved the entire book and the way i thought it was going in one direction and it would pivot to another direction. it’s a great, easy and highly entertaining book

Story ok

The over annunciation of the reader for Tasha was annoying and inconsistent. Story was ok.

Ok book. Poorly produced and the narration was annoying, I think I would have enjoyed it better if I actually read it.

Just okay

The book had potential, but it came up short. The last hour and half was boring, drawn out, and predictable. It’s an okay listen if you have nothing else to listen to, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to listen to this

I liked the story. The narrator was awful. I wasn't on the edge of my seat, but the chapters kept my focus.
