Publisher's Summary

When Danielle Boatman inherits Marlow House, she dreams of turning it into a seaside bed and breakfast. Since she's never visited the property, Danielle's not sure what awaits her in Oregon. She certainly doesn't expect to find one of the house's previous owners still in residence. After all, the man has been dead for almost 90 years - shouldn't he have moved on by now?

Charming Walt Marlow convinces Danielle the only way he can move on is if she solves the mystery of his death. Danielle soon discovers her real problems may come from the living - those who have their sights on Marlow House's other secrets.

    "Loved it"

This was a very good story. The characters were engaging and were portrayed in a realistic fashion. The plot was developed with enough twists and turns to keep the readers interested and involved in the story. I enjoyed the way Danielle and Walt interacted with each other. I look forward to seeing how their relationship develops in future books.

    "Enjoyable first in new series"

Bobbi Holmes wrote an enjoyable first in a new series. Romy Nordlinger did a good job of bringing the characters to life. I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

    "Fantastic story and narrator!"

I can't wait for the rest of the series! I loved the story and the characters. Romy Nordlinger is always one of my favorite narrators and really made this an extra fun listen!

I listen to mysteries - period. I am not into blood, guts, spies or thrillers per se: am looking for relaxation rather than suspense.

    "Oh Dear...."

All the makings for a nice litttle "ghosty" cozy - but It just kind of fell flat. I found the writing on the trite side and a bit two-dimensnal. The reading also was a bit... off. This is one of those books where you get the feeling tthe author and narrator might be worse together than each one is alone. Doubt I'll bother with the next one:-(

    "So, so close"

Good premise, just so slow. More the narration than the story. Not giving up yet, though......

I loved the book, I don't think that I would have wanted to give the necklace to anyone. Finders keepers.

"worst narrator for a ghost story ever!"
What didn’t you like about Romy Nordlinger’s performance?

First this is not someone who should be preforming a ghost story, every one has their own opinions but her voice had me cringing so hard i could not last an hour. Wish i could have heard a the story!

"Could not get past the narration"

In all honesty, I can't give a review of the story. I couldn't get past the narration so I only listened through the 3rd chapter. There was no change in inflection. All voices sounded similar. I was looking forward to a new series, this will not be it.

    "Cute"

The story was cute. That is the best way that I can describe it. It defiantly held my attention from beginning to end in one sitting. Refreshing story line, Narration was great.
