Delightful story, characters in a quirky hotel. Entertaining and well read/performed. Book even includes a dog.

Fun Cozy Mystery

This is the first book in a lighthearted, cozy mystery series. Although it's pretty easy to spot the villain early in the book, and the sheriff's crime-solving abilities are questionable, it was a fun read and I'm looking forward to spending more time reading about this quirky haunted hotel.

Fun series

Really enjoyable series. Fun characters with laugh out loud moments. I live in Clearwater, FL so I absolutely loved the near St. Petersburg, Fl setting. This author is worth your time!

Great start to a new series

Love the humor, the clever way this story is wove. Mysteries remain to be answered I figure volumes. Thank you!

Okay

I liked the story but wish it was a different narrator. Everyone sounds unlikable when she reads.

MC has no curiosity or clue about anything. lol

I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this novel. It starts off slowly, clearly working to establish the setting, but the pace felt a bit tedious at times. The main character came across as rather rude and ungrateful, especially in her attitude toward being handed an entire hotel B&B. She was not even curious or concerned about who gave her this hotel and why. Meanwhile, the Queen Elizabeth character was downright obnoxious, which didn’t help. That said, I kept listening (narrator was good), and while the ending felt somewhat abrupt, it did leave things on a cliffhanger. Overall, I didn’t strongly like or dislike the book, but I’m intrigued enough to continue with the second in the series before forming a final opinion.

one-dimensional characters

The narration was goofy and hard to be patient with. The voice made the characters sound like simpletons. I couldn't finish, had to jettison and move on.

I enjoyed all the characters in this book. The narration was good & The story intriguing enough to keep your interest. I would certainly recommend it
