Good listen

Cute doggy meets serial killer, it must be love. I enjoyed this book, a different sort of serial killer tale.

Great amusing book!

I exoected more of a thriller but turned out to be a great book a man who has never known love and his dog. Albeit that man was a serial killer. I recommend this book. The narration made this book even better and made the characters come to life.

Great Story

This started creepy but the pup added a different touch.

The characters were well developed and the story flowed nicely.

I received this audio book free for an honest review.

What are you trying to do to me Mr. Jeff Strand?

Water did not leak from eyes, but it threatened to many times. this is one of the few authors that can make me laugh and wanna cry in the same sentence.
I really didn't expect much from this book, but I have a soft spot for the canines. and an even softer spot for the serial killers (apparently)

It's about the dog, not the serial killer

JUST BECAUSE YOUR PARANOID DOES NOT MEAN THEY AIN'T OUT TO GET YOU

This is another heart warming story by Strand, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers. Do not be fooled by the first half hour and all the serial killer stuff. People who don't own dogs or love dogs will not get this, but those of us who love dogs, will see ourselves in the way this serial killer deals with his new found best friend. Strand pulled my heart strings in this story, as he did in BLISTER, the story about a woman with a scared face. He had me rolling on the floor with his book WOLF HUNT. I did not like DRACULAS, but I will blame that on the influence of Konrath and Crouch.

I would say, if you don't like dogs, you should get anything else Strand has written, but if you don't like dogs, you and I probably don't agree on much.

great short story

first time I have ever really felt bad for a serial killer and actually wanted the dog to make everything better. for the normal life that Charlie should have had.

Very Dark Humor

If you are a fan of dark humor, Jeff Strand is your author. The main character is a very disturbed serial killer whose life is transformed by a cute little dog. Surprisingly, I ended up feeling sorry for him. The narrator was perfect. Give it a listen!

In Dog We Trust

Unbelievable! Jeff Strand is truly a weird and talented writer. I cannot believe he made me actually sympathize with a sadistic serial killer. At the beginning of this book, Charlie is the most repulsive of human beings - a man who finds pleasure in causing pain to others and places no value on any life but his own. And, then came Kutter. I'm not sure someone as psychotic as Charlie could really let in the love of a dog, but I'm completely positive that there are plenty of dogs out there that could love Charlie even if most people couldn't. I also know for certain that if you let a dog love you, you can't help to be a better person. Charlie definitely becomes the guy who is trying "to be the person his dog thinks he is". Great story with great narration by Jack Clancy.

Surprisingly good

I enjoyed this book much more than I imagined I would. This is my first Jeff Strand book and it will not be my last. Strand has a talent for creating interesting characters and situations. I hate to say that I developed sympathy for a serial killer, but I did. The protagonist is a cold killer that tortures his female prey, but he becomes humanized by a lovable little Boston Terrier.
The narrator was excellent also.
