Tony Vining suspects that one of his customers is laundering money for a drug cartel. When he reports his suspicions, he endangers not only his own life, but the lives of everyone he loves. Federal agents try to protect his family from the cartel, but as the threats escalate and a wider conspiracy is revealed, he's no longer sure who his true friends are, and who are his foes.
I came across this story in an unusual manner and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. Now, I want to hear more adventures with Tony Vining and Paul Garza and their somewhat tangled past. And certainly, Jason Dunn's selfish and rascally ways should continue. All are very realistic characters brought vividly to life by the narrator's use of distinctive voices. This author's descriptive writing style combined with the narrator's performance made this fast-paced thriller a Must. Looking forward to more from this duo.
