Freaked out

I was a big fan already having read many of his books and loved Major Battle. Didn’t know how I missed this series and downloaded it as soon as I saw it and started listening. I’m a little freaked out that it’s set in Lake Mary where I’ve lived most of my life, kinda freaky hearing the name of the road your on in a post apocalyptic book you’re listening too. I’m not finished yet but the same level of story telling and the performance is top level as with all of his books. A great read!

The Scouge Pandenic

The story, plot, and narration were excellent in my opinion. Filled with suspense, anxiety, danger,love, and violence.

The author and narrator are perfect together

Tom Abrahams is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors in the post apocalyptic genre and Kevin Pierce is one of the best, if not the best, narrator. I get a kick out of the tribute Tom Abrahams pays to Kevin Pierce in a couple of his books but a little bummed that Mr. Pierce died so early in the first book! lol

Kevin Pierce can make even a bad series more interesting. However, in the case of this series, as with other Tom Abrahams series, he turns a great set of books into an audio masterpiece. I like that the plot lines aren't crazy unrealistic and that the heroes aren't perfect. The dialog isn't all cheesy and full of typical macho bravado but reflects how a real person would react. I haven't finished the whole Scourge series yet, but so far, I'm hooked as much as I was with the Traveler series.

Kevin pierce has a voice I enjoy listening too. He makes the story come alive for me. This is my first Tom Abrahams book and I will be reading/listening to more! His writing style makes it easy to keep both interested and follow the story line. Thanks Mr. Abrahams!

Liked most of it

I did really enjoy listening to this. The whole story was believable and could happen. The only thing I didn’t like was the way it ended. It didn’t give a finale feeling to any of the people it was following through the series. It just ended abruptly and I had to do a double take and make sure it just ended.

This was a good prequel to the Traveler Series. It made me listen to the entire 9 books. If you have not read or listened to the traveler series, some things may seam pointless, but they are relevant. And of course, Kevin Pierce could read the obituary and make it sound exiting. Best narrator out there.
