Publisher's Summary

It's a case that haunts Bobby Dodge to this day - the case that nearly killed him and changed his life forever. Now, the gruesome discovery of six mummified corpses resurrects his worst nightmare: the return of a killer he thought dead and buried.

Bobby's only lead is wrapped around a dead woman's neck. Annabelle Granger's childhood was a blur of new cities and assumed identities. But what or who her family was running from, she never knew. Now a body is unearthed from a grave, wearing a necklace bearing Annabelle's name, and the danger is too close to escape.

Dodge knows he must solve the mystery of Annabelle Granger, and to do that, he must team up with his former lover, partner, and friend D. D. Warren from the Boston P.D.

From its beginning to its shocking climax, Hide is a thriller that delves into our deepest, darkest fears - where there is no one to trust, where there is no place left to hide.

Weak story line

Started out very interesting like her other book "Touch and Go". But it went downhill soon after that. Too many bazzar incidences for reality and in the end they all came together very neatly, not realistic. Very disappointed

One of her best

This story is one of my favourite Lisa Gardner books. It was interesting from the very first chapter and never lagged. I think Detective DD is one of my favourite characters and she isn't the only major player in this book because there are 3 major characters and each one is very well done. Lots of twists and it kept me guessing throughout.

Not as good as others

Wasn't my favorite by her so far, but still a good twist. This is my 4th book by her and so far my least favorite. Still, not horrible by any means.

I thought I would like this but...

I forced myself to listen to it and I was beyond disgusted with all the craziness and negative story line. It wouldn't get any better but I made myself listen to it but refuse to buy anymore from this series.

Good story but what is going on with the narration?

This is the second book I have listened to in the D D Warren series. Both stories have been good but the narration is annoying. The first one just had a bad narrator. This one, even though the narrator's voice is good, she switched from using an acceptable male voice of Lt Bobby Dodge to the same voice as D D Warren. From that point on, all male voices were read in the female voice. Strange.

Story and narrator perfect combo!

Fast paced story. I like that they switched between character viewpoints to get a fuller picture and it kept story fast-paced. Narrator was perfect as I had no problem distinguishing between characters, even during quick interactions.

Keep my interest

I listen while I work so I need things that are engaging but not overly complex or difficult to follow. This was a perfect blend of interesting storyline, well-paced story and enough intrigue to keep me guessing and interested without getting lost. I skipped the first in the series based on reviews of the audiobook and did not find myself lost. This book is more about Bobby Dodge than DD Warren, but that didn't trouble me. Not overly graphic and quite clean (just a few kisses). Just downloaded the next in the series.
