Good story, but why Ava so low-class
Just like the first book solving/finding murderer wasn't easy, but fun to figure out. I figured out who but the why etc, well you have to read/listen to the book. It is very good. I took a star off because Ava character continues to be trashy and immature. Wish Frost would change direction of character maybe more like Joy Elli's Marie Evans or Deborah Crombie's Gemma James, both strong attractive detective characters who are smart and not oversexed. Did not like that Frost alluded to sexaul tension/attraction between Neal and Ava Why can't they just be strong partners and good friends who work well together. Several jabs about Americans not appreciated.

Another excellent installment in series
Janice Frost has crafted another excellent thriller to add to the DS Ava Marie and DI Jim Neal series. Her writing has equaled those of today’s great authors. I’m excited to discover where she’ll take the series next. If you enjoy police thrillers you’ll enjoy this one.
