Publisher's Summary

Fearless counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp finds himself directly in the line of fire in the latest riveting political thriller from New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn.

For years, Mitch Rapp's bold actions have saved the lives of countless Americans. His battles for peace and freedom have made him a hero to many, and an enemy to countless more. In the tangled, duplicitous world of espionage, there are those, even among America's allies, who want to see Mitch Rapp eliminated. They have decided the time has come.

Now, the powerful father of a dead terrorist demands vengeance in its simplest form, an eye for an eye, and Rapp instantly becomes the target of an international conspiracy. This time, he must use all of his vigilance and determination to save himself before he can turn his fury on those who have dared to betray him.

Consent to Kill takes listeners behind the headlines and catapults them to the front lines of the global war on terror. It sizzles "with inside information, military muscle, and CIA secrets" (Dan Brown). Vince Flynn mixes military technology with his exclusive knowledge of Washington politics to create a hero that Americans will wish existed outside the realm of fiction.

excellent

A really enjoyable listen! Taut action, some sentamentality, a background of current world events, and hero Mitch Rapp doing his thing. Maybe a bit predictable but I still found myself wanting to continue listening as I was caught up in the story. That's what we want out of a book, right.......

Another Good Book

I really enjoyed this book. Another Mitch Rapp novel that delivers on all fronts.

The story is well written, and all characters are developed very well!

The story is "Can't Put Down" at times and if you are a fan of typical Flynn this is a really good listen.

I liked Extreme Measures a bit more, but I'll still give this one a 5-star rating as well.

The narrator, George Guidall, does another great job!

Nice intro to Flynn...

This was my first time reading Flynn and I must say I enjoyed it greatly. Sure it is a little over the top and completely improbable, but that's what makes it so much fun. I usually read the Connelly/Bosch and Child/Reacher novels. I am looking forward to adding Rapp to the mix.

Like an old time serial and fun

The story is simplistic and as much fun as an old time serial. I would be embarrassed to admit how much I enjoyed it - like admitting to liking James Bond movies ...

Great author read by the right narrator

I have been a Vince Flynn fan for years. His writing is tight. He provides enough detail to create credible scenarios without getting bogged down. Rarely do I think one of his sentences should be written differently. The stories move so quickly that I have spent too many nights reading when I should have been sleeping. When finished, I can't wait for the next book. Having them read by George Guidall makes the perfect combination.

Just Great!

I'm no critic. I have listened to over 30 audiobooks and this is my first review. This was my first Flynn book & I just couldn't stop listening. I was immediately engaged - the imagery was captivating. Character development was excellent - I felt like I knew the characters, loved their interaction and even started anticipating their next moves. The narration is excellent. The only down side was when I finished the story I wanted more - so on to Act of Treason!

Deserves a 6th Star

From the minute it started, it was non-stop. Excellent descriptions of surroundings and character backgrounds. This is the type of book that makes you late, you don't want to get out of your car, to keep listening. Cheers to the author and narrator. Excellent Job. Please repeat!!!
