Publisher's summary

A long weekend in the Poconos is cut short when Sherlock and Savich are helicoptered back to Washington to lead the investigation into the brutal murder of a Supreme Court justice.

Savich allows Callie Markham, an investigative reporter for The Washington Post, to partner with local Metro Police liaison Ben Raven since she's got the inside track--she's the stepdaughter of the murdered justice. Despite Detective Raven's unwillingness to have a civilian along, Callie Markham ends up riding shotgun to help look for her stepfather's murderer.

Within the next 24 hours, a Supreme Court law clerk is found murdered, the M.O. the same.

Savich learns he must also solve a 30-year-old crime after a psychic encounter with the murder victim, Samantha Barrister, who suddenly appears in front of his car and hysterically pleads for his help. Savich and Sherlock discover that at the time of her death, Samantha had a six-year-old son who disappeared as a teenager. Savich is convinced the missing boy is the key.

In Blowout, Sherlock and Savich are faced with two of the most baffling and shocking cases of their careers.

Good story

This book had 2 stories in 1. This kept the reader interested and intrigued. The characters of Savage and Sherlock are so enjoyable!

Entertaining story, mixed performance

This book has a lot of characters, several crimes, and lots of suspense. It's a "busy" book but it definitely held my interest. I always enjoy Savich and Sherlock and their FBI cohorts solving the crimes. I didn't care for the "side story" with the woo-woo and the man with the memory loss, etc., but that was a small part of the book. Most of the book was very entertaining. I have mixed feelings about the performance. Parts of it were really poor to me, especially Savich's voice!!! But the women's voices were very good.

A truly enjoyable experience.

The story line was easy to follow and each and every character was believable. There was a commendable balance of mystery, suspense and everything in between. I'm already looking forward to the next installment in the series.....
l can hardly wait.

FBI Thriller fan since first book

Would you consider the audio edition of Blowout to be better than the print version?

Only did audio version

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes it is well written with alot of twist.

What aspect of Sandra Burr’s performance would you have changed?

I did not like the way she portrayed character voices at all took away from story line was distracting .

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really kind of slow pace.
