Not my favourite

The story is engaging and reasonably well written but I struggled to finish it...Constant bickering and back and forth between H and h was tiring and not enjoyable.
Personally, I don’t like the theme of besotted ugly duckling and the reluctant Hero, who humiliates her thought the story but condescends to love her at the end.

What made the experience of listening to The Sherbrooke Bride the most enjoyable?

Watching Doug change the way he feels about Alexandria.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Alex of course, so hidden by her sisters beauty.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

The beginning was hard to get interested in, but as the story goes along I have grown quite interested and find it hard to stop listening.

Great start to the series.

Love this series and this first book was my favorite.
Not a fan of Anne Flosnik voice (to high pitch) but she does a pretty good job of all Catherine Coulter and many more author's books. Guess you get use to it eventually. lol

Like how Alex holds her own from the start.

I loved the 2 Sherbrooke books so much that when I saw a book with all the stories I grabbed it right up!!! She is an amazing author!!
