Sookie never gets a moment peace

I like the non stop pace of the story and every moment is exciting. A lot of new and interesting characters you wish you’d see again and more turmoil then you can imagine.

Enjoyable

If you are looking for deep reading you will need to go elsewhere. There's drama, intrigue, romance, and of course all the supernatural creatures you can imagine.
I wanted to listen to the next book as soon as I finished one. I like Charlaine Harris, and I like all the characters. It's interesting reading these after watching the True Blood shows. There have definitely been some changes in the show, the books are only from Sookie's viewpoint, so the show would have to be different to show the other people's view points. Well done.

Sookie must work a vampire summit for the queen

This is the first post Hurricane Katrina book in the series, and because of the devastation to New Orleans the situation for the Louisiana Vampires has radically changed. The new best friend who had come to stay with Sookie for a short visit ends up being a Katrina refugee because her home while still standing suffered some damage that has to be repaired before she can return home.

In this one, whether she wants to or not, Sookie is required by the queen to attend a vampire national summit, and to make things worse her fairy godmother comes to her begging her not to go because something really bad is going to happen and she can't go because vampires LOVE the taste of fairies ... the good news is Sookie will be well paid for the work, and her new boyfriend will be there working the event. When she gets there she reconnects with the other telepath she met in dallas, who is now thanks to her gone from a menial labor job to working for the vamps. They work the event, bad things happen.

Over the course of the event a really old vampire tastes her blood without her permission and informs her she's got an ancestor who is a fairy.

A compelling story I didn’t want to end

This one is filled with interesting characters as Sookie attends a vampire summit. One of the best in this series! I loved every second of it.

Love these books.

It’s too bad the show fumbled so hard and didn’t follow the books bc the books are done so well. The performance is excellent and comfortable. My only gripe is how she pronounces some names lol

A great series!

I’ve loved the entire series of books featuring Sookie Stackhouse. This is the first audio version that I’ve listened to and it was delightful. The narrator is exactly as I'd imagined Sookie's voice would be. The books feature fascinating, humorous characters that continually evolve and surprise as they travel through fast-paced plots.

Perfect Voice For a Favorite Series.

Would you consider the audio edition of All Together Dead to be better than the print version?

Neither is better than the other. I will say that Johanna Parker is my perfect version for Sookie. She just makes Sookie come alive all the better and with the correct accent clarified a few things that my 'Yankee' imagination couldn't.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sookie is fabulous but I like my heroines with a little more barbarian and a little less lady. Of course maybe that's just how southern woman are. I also love Pam. If I could somehow combine both of them it would be perfect. I would like to see more of Diantha.

What does Johanna Parker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The southern accent and correct southern pronunciation of words. I'f from as far north as you can get and still be in the USA. Sometimes it is hard for me to 'hear' the words correctly when I read.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Spoilers Sweetie.
