Publisher's Summary

Laurence Fife was a slick divorce lawyer and slippery ladies' man. Until someone killed him. The jury believed that it was his pretty young wife Nikki, so they sent her to prison for eight years. Now, Nikki's out on parole and Kinsey Millhone's in for trouble. Nikki hires Kinsey to discover who really killed her husband. But the trail is eight years cold, and at the end is a chilling twist even Kinsey doesn't suspect, a second eight-year-old murder and a brand new corpse.

Critic Reviews

"Kinsey Millhone is a female Sam Spade; a thorough professional, a loner, clear-headed, and unsentimental." (Lucille Kallen)

TOO SHORT

I really enjoyed the book, but should have gotten the unabridged version. I will definately continue on in the series, but with the longer versions.

All the Kinsey Millhone books are a great read

Would you listen to A is for Alibi again? Why?

Yes, I have listened to all of the a second time because they are fun, predictable and relaxing.

What about Judy Kaye’s performance did you like?

Judy Kaye is Kinsey. She is believable and her tone conveys a lot of attitude.

Any additional comments?

I find all of the Kinsey Millhone great to listen to. They are a wonderful listen on sleepless night, or anytime.
