Overly dramatic performance

If you’ve listened to books by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro before, how does this one compare?

The same -- formulaic, but addicting. Even though I know exactly how it will begin to unfold, I'm addicted to the Women's Murder Club so I keep reading them.

What aspect of January LaVoy’s performance would you have changed?

She dramatizes the narrative to such an extent that it becomes distracting. It would be comical if it weren't so annoying.

Boring

This was so boring. Was glad when it was done. Same old story. Nothing about the ladies in the Murder Club at all this time.

The Trial: A Bookshot

I Loved the way they ended the story, but I really didn’t like the narrator.

All of the problems get solved by men

I expected a Women's Murder Club book to have more women either doing or solving murders. It felt like men stepped in to solve every problem. And I was not comfortable with the protagonist getting back together with her husband (who maybe cheated on her) with no conversation.

Another great Women's Murder Club book

Women's Murder Club is one of my favorite James Patterson/Maxine Paetro series and this was a fitting episode in that series.
The story was good and the narration was awesome. I highly recommend
