Weddings are a great place to get laid, but when I show up for my ex’s big day, I’m hoping to get a lot more than that. I’ve never admitted it, but the reason I broke up with her all those years ago was because of her brother. One look at little Simon Lawson and I was a goner. Of course I didn’t say anything though, not back then. I didn’t touch him. Always kept my distance. I had to, because he was just a kid...but he’s all grown up now.

Funny, so funny!

Simon has such a fun inner voice! I love him. And Emmett, OMG! Emmett is so perfect, blushing and stammering but still willing to share his immense knowledge about, well... everything!

I like the addition of the fated mates as a scientific fact to the Omega!verse. And I liked Hunter, in the beginning, at least. In the end, I'm not so sure. Which is weird, as usually works the opposite way. But obedience is not my kink, and that is probably what happened here.

Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed this story, and Charlie David did such a great job with the narration! It made everything even better :)

Fated Mates!!!!

Make Me Give In by Angel Knots is the first book in The Omega Celibacy Club. It's a fun story. Simon and Hunter are great characters. I love them together and their story is sweet, sexy and funny. Worth the listen and definitely builds up the interest for the next book in series.

Narration is by Charlie David and does a great job. The recording is clear and smooth sounding. The voice work is great - the characters' personalities come through and shines...the entertainment of the story heightened by the voices.

Dazed and Confused

I first read Make Me Give In, book 1 of the OCC and enjoyed it.

Was delighted by the ragtag of characters.
The silly , offbeat and randomness tone the book is written .

When I read Charlie David was narrating it ; I couldn't wait for it to come out.

Then it happened , I listened to it BUT it didn't work for me !

I didn't like it and had to stop. Now, I am seriously dazed and confused.

It's likely , is me not the audio , situation going on here . And/or I'm not in the right mood for this audio at the moment.

With all that said, my review reflects more in me liking the story and liking the narrator THAN no enjoying the audiobook as I should have.

Ok story

This story was not for me. It was written well but I was not a fan of the fact that Simon was made to be an omega who is whinny and can’t do anything without his alpha Hunter. I thought Simon was going to be a strong omega from the beginning of the story but then he went against everything he said. Hunter is sweet and always wanting to do the right thing and take care of Simon.

Unique Alpha/Omega Story

The first book in the Omega Celibacy Club Book and this is a different way to look at Alpha/Omega relationships. The Omegas in this story are much more submissive than omegas in others that I have read. Alphas also have the ability to demand or dominate their omegas by how they talk to them.
Simon, an omega, is tired of watching his omega friends get pregnant and have to put their entire life (jobs, school, etc) on hold while the alphas get to continue on as they did before. After a friend's cousin/roommate gets pregnant and drops out of school, Simon comes up with the Omega Celibacy Club. The OCC is a club where omegas vow to be celibate until graduation. He didn't think that he would have any problems with that because he has plans, for school, a career and then eventually a family.
Hunter, an alpha, used to date Simon's sister, and ended up leaving the relationship because he was in love with Simon, who at the time was much too young. When Simon's sister gets married and Hunter is invited, he thinks that this is finally his time to tell Simon how he feels.
Add in a mix-up with heat blockers (a lot of heat), a moody omega who is questioning his life plans, and some friends who are there for you even when you don't think you need them, and you have Make Me Give In.
I love the characters that are in this book, and love how the author didn't just play-up the main characters. The side characters were very present throughout the story and were very well-developed. There were a couple of times when I felt Simon came across as too demanding or bossy with the other omegas, but considering how he felt towards a typical alpha/omega relationship, there is a reason.
The narration was absolutely wonderful and brought about the uniqueness of each character out. It truly brought this story to life!
All in all, I can't wait for more of this series. I want to see the other omegas get their stories and happily ever afters.

Entertaining & Sexy

A great story that kept me entertained throughout. I really enjoyed the storyline and getting to know all of the characters in this wonderful start to a new series. Simon and Hunter are incredible together. They have lots of chemistry and have wanted one another for so long that when they do finally come together, it's incredibly sexy and explosive. It's also very sweet, especially love the way Hunter treats Simon. The narrator did a great job with the character voices and with the portrayal of the story. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

I can't love this series more!!

What's an ambitious omega to do when faced with getting all you want or finding an alpha? Making a celibacy pact with your friends helps Simon feel so sure he will be able to finish his degree. And then there's Hunter, he has known Simon for a very long time and feels he is finally in a place where he can have him. Oh the feels!! So good, so sweet and so sexy!!

Perfection!

I absolutely love this story so much! Simon and Hunter's story is just so funny and sweet. I love reading this story but listening to the audiobook is just perfection. Charlie David does such an amazing job in bring the characters chemistry to life that I just could feel in even more. Just everything is perfect and made the story so much more. Amazing job!

Narration is spot on!

I loved reading this story! It's sweet and funny and David does an awesome job with it, without making the characters sound too over the top. A perfect compliment to the book.

Life Doesn't Always Go As Planned, So Flow With It

Charlie David is a new-to-me narrator, but he does a great job of binging these guys to life.
I'm also not familiar with Angel Knots, but I am a fan of MPreg with sassy omegas and hot alphas. This book did not disappoint on all counts. I very much enjoyed how the characters finally get together despite the reluctance on one side to trust an alpha after previous bad experiences. Recommended for all lovers of MPreg and Omega/Alpha stories.

Sweet & Hot, Charlie David is Marvelous!

Sweet, hot, and toe-curlingly romantic, Angel Knots’ Make Me Give In is an absolutely perfect MPreg novel.

Longtime family friends, Hunter has had his eye on Simon since they were kids. Now that Simon’s of age, Hunter isn’t going to lose this opportunity to make his move. When they finally meet up it turns out Simon’s in heat (and desperate for an alpha), Hunter simply can’t resist.

Equally head-over-heels for Hunter, Simon can’t believe his luck when the hunky alpha turns out to be an incredibly nice guy. Putting his omega’s needs above his own, Hunter is the ideal alpha and these two are an absolutely adorable couple.

For me, the best part of Make Me Give In is the depth and detail Ms. Knots includes to establish this alpha/omega MPreg universe. Details explaining the alpha/omega bond, heats, and cultural expectations are clear and logical and elevate this one to a whole ‘nother level.

Bonus! It’s been far too long since I’ve had the pleasure of listening to an audiobook narrated by Charlie David, and he absolutely kills this one. I love Mr. David’s deep and growly alpha voice, and it works perfectly for the alphas. Plus there are some hot D/s scenes and some very gentle bondage… I don’t think I have to tell Charlie David fans how spectacularly he performs these!

The novels of The Omega Celibacy Club are centered around a group of four omega schoolmates. The friends have a number of charming scenes together and their playful camaraderie really comes through. Their sweetness and innocence is adorable, and I can’t wait to get the rest of their tales.

Loved it

I really enjoyed this book.
Simon and Hunter are really great characters, and their story is such a good beginning of this series.
I am really looking forward to listening to more of this series.

Fun and Flirty

This is a fun and flirty, fairly low angst take on alpha and omega relationships. I loved the notion of the Omega Celibacy club and the way the omegas all supported each other and their dreams. I loved the way Hunter was willing to make adjustments for Simon and not selfishly demand that Simon serve him. I was a little disappointed that Simon gave in so easily and immediately to his desires. (I mean how can he expect Tris to resist if he/Simon doesn't even make a token effort?) Still, I enjoyed the love story of these true mates.

The narration seemed a little stiff to me at first, bur either Mr. David got more into the story or I got used to his voice, because pretty quickly I was really enjoying the audio. He did a good job of giving every character a distinct voice and I especially loved his take on Tris.

A good book

As much as I enjoyed the story, the narration was a bit indescribable. The plot is an mix of heat and humor, with some scenes that will leave you breathless. Definitely a series to enjoy.

Wonderful narration for this fun new series

A new author to me in Angel Knotts and I really enjoyed the series that she's started with Make Me Give In. We get introduced to a great group of omegas that I'm looking forward to reading more of with some seeds sown in this book for future stories.
Book 1 focuses on omega Simon, fed up of seeing other omega's give up everything for their alpha, starts the Omega Celibacy Club with his friends and brother. Unbeknownst to him, within days he'll meet the alpha that he's longed for for several years and everything will change for him.
Hunter knows exactly what, and who, he wants when he goes to the wedding of an ex. Her brother, Simon, has been on his mind for years though he has been waiting and allowing the young man to grow up and now he's ready to get his man.
The two men work well together, you can tell there's attraction and a connection between the two. Angel has written them well, allowing us to experience everything along with them as you read their story. There's a roller coaster of emotions for both men with interference from friends, family, heats and emotions that keep both men on their toes. The story moves along at a good pace, I love all of the characters that we meet and there are definitely enough hot scenes to keep you on your toes :-)
I recommend trying this new series, and looking forward to more from this author.
This is my first experience of listening to Charlie David's narration and I have to say I think he has done a perfect job in capturing the characters personalities and emotions as we work through the drama and developing relationship of Hunter and Simon. Each man has his own voice and really enjoyed listening to the story throughout.

A different take on fated mates. I loved Simon and Hunter and the whole OCC!

I found this an endearing story and loved Simon and his desire to not get pregnant before graduation and throw his dreams away. Little does he know that fate has other ideas and I loved watching it all unfold! I found every character in this story unique, endearing and interesting and am totally hooked on the whole OCC and all four characters and can't wait for each of their stories.

I loved Simon's somewhat, second chance story. He has pined for Hunter since he first laid eyes on him when he was dating his sister and hasn't been able to get him out of his head. Thankfully Hunter felt the same way and has waited patiently for his omega to grow up and come of age. When they are finally able to be together they realize they have a connection like no other and are actually rare and unique fated mates in a world that thought these connections were a myth. With a few issues and surprises along the way, Hunter and Simon are able to form a bond, love, and connection that will pull at your heartstrings and their coming together sets the pages on fire. 

I loved all these characters and needed to keep reading the series as soon as I finished book one. I can't wait for more and want to know every HEA for these 4 awesome omegas!!! I look forward to finding out what's up with No-No Nolan and his weird behavior during Simon's story ;) 

Angel has created a band of characters that will have you laughing, longing and tripping up along with them! I love The OCC!

Knotty insta-love

This is a fated mates/ instalove story with a bit of big sister's ex thrown in.
It all starts over snacks and conversation, when yet another Omega acquaintance has to drop-out of college due to getting pregnant. Simon starts with his housemates the Omega Celibacy Club (OCC).
Then he goes into a superheat when he forgets his blockers, it was funny and hot to see him throw all his own rules out of the window, he was incredibly lucky that the Alpha who catches him, is the very Alpha who has waited for him to grow up, who is not waiting any longer.
This book is full of heat, steam and knotty goodness, Hunter and Simon worked well together, I loved how supportive Hunter was and how he forces Simon to see that he doesn't have to give up his dreams. The other characters are fun and I hope they get their stories told, I can't wait for Nolan's book which is next. An all round fantastic book, highly enjoyable.

Angel Knots is a new to me author and I enjoyed the first in the series of audiobooks, Make Me Give In.
Simon is an omega at university and is determined to finish his degree and achieve the career of his dreams, not follow his biology and meet an Alpha, become pregnant and drop out before graduation.
He convinces his housemates to start the Omega Celibacy Club (OCC)
until he goes into superheat and meets Hunter, an Alpha he has known for years, and all his good intentions go out of the window.
The book was well written and the sex was hot!
Charlie David’s narration was a little frantic at times which was probably a reflection of Simons personality but to be honest it just put me on edge so I found it difficult to relax into the story.

Great Alpha/omega read

I immediately loved both the main characters and the side characters in Make Me Give In. Simon is an Omega, and is determined not to be like other Omegas, finish his degree and then get a career. He convinces his roommates (two friends and his younger brother) to start the Omega Celibacy Club to help them stay on track. Alpha Hunter has known for years Simon is his...but he was too young at the time. He wants to take the opportunity he has now to make Simon his.

The writing in this book was great, and I loved the instalove/Fated Mates premise. I can’t wait to see how the other’s stories pan out when they’re released and will definitely be reading them! A great read!

The narrator is new to me - I’ve not listened to any audiobooks by Charlie David before but he really made the OCC characters come to life. Each voice is distinct - but none of them are over to top or annoying (which can be a thing with some audiobooks). I’ll definitely be listening out for more of the OCC audiobooks!
