Publisher's summary

Is it possible to love too much?

After three months of marriage, Aaron and Keira Drake are still very much in love. Life at Storbrook seems idyllic, and Keira cannot quite believe how happy she is. Anna, Keira's younger sister, has made Storbrook her permanent home, while Max, a young (by dragon standards) clan member, has also recently arrived at the Dragon Master's home. Sparks immediately fly between Anna and Max, but when the prince calls on Aaron for his help with a rogue dragon threatening the city, Aaron and Keira must find a way to work through their own doubts and fears, while Anna is tested in different ways when she is thrown together with Max.

Can you love too much???

If you love romance with a fantasy twist then this is the book for you. Aaron fears his love for Keira and thinks it may be too much, He believes it is making him vulnerable but what he learns is it makes him not only stronger but a formidable dragon to be reckoned with.
I was also reminded there is another story unfolding within the story for Ana. Can she find love and would she recolonize it? The only way to find out is to listen to the story I will give nothing away.
The narrator does an amazing job with this story and her English accents are spot on to the story, era and region. She gives the gentile of the story a snooty twist while keeping to the flow of the story.

Unexpected Twists

Another great book from Linda Hopkins. I don’t really enjoy sex in my books, but she writes the scenes tastefully, and they are not the focal point of the story. There are unexpected twists, romance, and danger. This is the second time that I read this book, and I enjoyed it even more this time. I believe it is suitable for young adults and older. I love how I am transported into the stories of this author, and I know you will be too!

Excellent all the way!

This is a wonderful book and Linda’s choice of narrator is outstanding. Ms. Hall perfected narrating every single character in this book and she brought these characters to life. Very well done!

Entertaining

I love stories about dragons. This series is the first I’ve read where the dragons take human form. It was an entertaining story and I enjoyed listening to it as much as reading it. However, the only thing I had a problem with was the narrators rendition was not how I heard it in my head when I read it. Other than that it was an enjoyable listen.

Awesome!

I totally loved this book. Great story telling and the narration was excellent. she has a soothing voice that is pleasant on the ears, I have heard other audio books that the narrator is awful to the point that I just couldn't suffer through the whole story. Great job, I can't wait for the next one!!

Great story, better narrator.

I am truly enjoying the stories in this series. However in book 1, which was narrated by the author, it was a little hard to follow. I have no problem with English accent but hers was so heavy it threw me off many times. Josephine Hall, the narrator in this book did a much better job. Believable as Old English yet still understandable.
I loved the crisis of conscience that Aaron went through thanking his love for Kira was a problem. I also admire Kira for standing by her man till he pulled his head out of his behind.
Anna on the other hand was working my last nerve and it serves her right that she messed up what could have been a wonderful thing. perhaps, if she grows up and stops acting like a whiny brat, she'll get another opportunity and book 3. Please continue writing Ms Hopkins and let Ms. Hall do all the narration.

Loved hearing this story.

I have not liked many audio books. But the woman reading this book! Is perfect! I enjoyed how she spoke into life of each character. She has passion when reading, I would listen to her read a book anytime! And of course I have read this book. Love all the book! And now I want to hear them all!

Mixed feelings on this one.

Glad their story continues and characters develop, but hate that both women are immature drama queens /queens of bad decisions. Baby sister is supposed to be the childish one but big sis has joined her in the stupidity. Hello. They told you they had a past. Don’t seek out their toxic exes to hang out and then whine & cry and wander off searching for trouble. How many rape/death attempts do you have to escape to understand not to do that. Sooo much side eye given.

I liked it

I liked this story as much as I did the first and I would recommend reading or listening to this series in order, so nothing is missed. There were thigs I liked and disliked about this story. I enjoyed the narrator's voice. I still dislike Keira's mom Jenny, but I love her father, Richard. I'm still enjoy Keira and Aaron as newlyweds but there were times when both of them let things that happen in the past affect their present. Their love for each other however was undeniable and I love when the two of them spend time together. Anna has a lot of growing up to do and although I know her character is young there were a lot of times when I wished she just acted a bit mature. I enjoyed Max a lot and I think that his and Anna's relationship will blossom into something beautiful. I can't wait to see how things turn out for them. Even though they are not together yet, I know that it's just a matter of time and I'm anxiously waiting to see how it plays out. Parts of the story was a bit repetitive and predictable at times, but I enjoyed it a lot. There was back and forth banter that was funny, it was steamy, had surprises, revenge, betrayal and deaths.
