Publisher's Summary

The groom is the prime suspect in a murder at his own rehearsal dinner. Crime reporter Nichelle Clarke doesn't believe he's the killer - but now it's up to her to find out who is.

Perfect for fans of James Patterson, J.D. Robb, and Melinda Leigh.

When Nichelle Clarke is invited to be the maid of honor in her friends' Virginia Vineyard wedding, she looks forward to the celebration. The storybook ceremony has been planned to the tiniest detail, and the rehearsal dinner is going off without a hitch.

Until a dead body is found in a barrel of award-winning Riesling.

But when the dust settles, the corpse is no longer Nichelle's biggest worry. There is a growing list of evidence pointing to her friend the groom as the killer. Nichelle doesn't buy it, but finds herself the lone skeptic.

Wading through skeletons of past love and loss, Nichelle sets out to prove the groom's innocence. But the journey forces her to face hard truths about how well she really knows her closest friends.

Can Nichelle track down the truth in time to save her friend from life in prison - or worse? Assuming he is innocent, who is the real killer? And more importantly, will they strike again?

Great series, characters, and narrator

Murder mystery and intrigue told from the perspective a top notch the reporter and not the police. Nichelle is funny, smart, crafty, and a loving friend. Her love interest is not the typical all american guy (he’s there just not for Nichelle) but a handsome good/bad boy with a sexy voice and questionable business associates, which makes the story all the more real. Every woman fantasizes about being with the bad boy - LOL.

The plots become more complex with each book and I have found myself saying “holy manolos” a couple of times as the plots unravel and the killer is revealed. The relationships are not standard and Nichelle’s nemesis and a constant thorn in her side is present throughout the series. Michelle’s reactions as a reporter are spot on as is her writing style. With each book, I fall more in love with the characters. The narrator breathes life into each one so they have distinct voices, traits, and personalities. No small feat given that several prominent characters are males. I swear I forget a woman is narrating!!!

Great plot

I like this series, I actually decided to binge and listen back to back. Great plot, good character development the only issue I have with this series is the over explaining and keep dropping the designer’s name. Nichelle you Are a crime reporter in Richmond, VA you are no Carrie Bradshaw and this is no sex & the city so enough with Jimmy Choo, ....

Nichelle does it again

Only Nichelle can find a mystery at a wedding. Like the other books in this series, Lethal Lifestyles is fast paced and gritty with witty dialogue and a complex mystery. Therese Plummer is the perfect narrator. I can kick myself for all the times I overlooked it. I love this series and look forward to the next book.

Nichelle the wedding planner is a new twist

Confident that with the assistance of her mother, who is a professional wedding planner, Nichelle is well on the way to coordinating the marriage of sports reporter Grant Parker and Melanie Okerson when a body is discovered at the remote site of the nuptials. Pressure from previous cases continues to build and she not only has to save a wedding but also solve the murder and print the story. Great performance by Therese Plummer.

Love!

I love that she’s a bad ass and a great friend. Plus she doesn’t fall apart because of a man, she does her job and moves on! Great heroine 🦸🏻‍♀️ love the narration

Delightful and well written.

Enjoying this series of books. LynDee Walker had fashioned believable characters. Their emotions, actions and the plot is addictive right up to the end. This book has a couple of scenes that had me laughing. The narration for this book is well done too. I hope others will enjoy this and the other books in the series.

Please no more eye rolling

If and when I listen to another LynDee Walker book, I'm going to count the number of times "I rolled my eyes" "He rolled his eyes". This author has a shortage of trite sayings. And Holy Manolo, with other expensive shoe references. These are entertaining books. She could take the silly sayings out of the book and be taken a lot more seriously.
