Publisher's Summary

If you can see them, you're already dead. If you can hear them, you're not far from it. If you can smell them, like the forest they live in, avoid danger at all conceivable costs. Because they're the monsters in the shadows of Harvey Hill's forests, and their king needs his queen.

Charlotte and her burning red hair is a sight to behold. Though every bit as feisty as her sharp green eyes, but she's weary of the beasts that roam at night...of werewolves and unspoken beasts that threaten to abduct you, never to be seen again. After all, here in Harvey's Hill, when the clock strikes 10, you best be inside, praying to the moon that the monsters pretend you're not there. Yet, speeding down a highway late one night, she makes a grave - nay, fatal - mistake.

Gabe saw those same smoldering embers that same night. Bloody and limp yet scathingly beautiful, her small but defiant voice burns through his soul. He reaches out, aching to claim her, but she knows her runes against beasts like him, and she isn't going down without a goddamn fight. But the King of Beasts always gets what he wants, and so he drags her away to be his forever...or so he thought.

Just when love and passion take its course, odd things starts happening. Sinister things are in the works. And when Charlotte and Gabe find their bond broken, everything falls apart...maybe even their sanity.

What are the secrets of this strange, strange town? When death is hot on her heels, will Charlotte escape? Will the king ever get to claim his queen? Be captivated by this dark tale of undying love that defies the paranormal in Jamiee Lynne's new book, King of Beasts. But be warned: the insane plot twists and spine-tingling thrill might just make you a bit mentally unstable-temporarily, that is.

It is not a romance

This is a very confusing sci-fi (it is not a romance even though it is in the romance package) book that ends on a cliffhanger.... If it's not a cliffhanger it's a very bad ending... If I would have paid for this book I'd be asking for a refund.,.seriously not worth it..not even for free

Just okay???

This book ended on a weird note. I think there could have been another book. It was a tragic ending.

Stick with it!

I started this book and then got distracted with something else and it was a couple of days before I went back to it again. But when I did I found myself really absorbed in the story and the characters. Then I finished it in one day. I need to check if there’s another book in the series because this one left me wanting more!

Long of Beasts

The story was really good but it seems to lose you in places and the ending was too short must read more!!!!

Enjoyed the story!

The narration was great, but I’m hoping there will be more to tell... that this just doesn’t end here.

not really a romance story

ok, this book to me really isn't a romance book. It's more like a teen wolf kind of thing. Like there's more myself and a little of romance. So still no sex. But this I feel maybe shouldn't be in the romance section. also it kind of left in a cliffhanger or just a WTF because it gets confusing.

Confusing book!

Don't understand why it had to end on a cliffhanger. A very confusing book seriously.

no distractions

I think that this story would be better to read, or if you are not doing anything else to distract you. apparently I missed a bit so the rest of the story did not make much sense to me anymore. but before I lost the plot I was really enjoying the story. it is a well thought of story. so I will try to listen to it again when I am doing nothing else. the narrator has a pleasant voice.

PNR

Not my usual listen and I wasn't able to get through it in one sitting, so I did find myself a bit confused at times. It's not a bad story, but I do prefer light at the end of the tunnel. Good performance by Emma Lysy.

That hit the spot

This is a great storyline. The balance that Jamiee has managed to write into this book is absolutely spot on. There’s a lot of action and some unexpected twists that add to the suspense. Excellent narration from Emma.
