Born to a wealthy Virginian family, privileged Jordan's got her life all planned out. Get her PhD, find the perfect Virginian man to marry, pop out a few more Kacys, and make her state senator father proud.

If only Jordan could let the past rest.

When your mother disappears without a trace, it carves a gash that bleeds a long time. Jordan has never given up hope that her mother is alive. So when Jordan's old nanny shows up with a mysterious locket containing a portrait of Jordan's mother, Jordan believes her hope was not in vain.

When the locket opens a portal to an alternate universe and a stranger hurtles through to Earth, it's not her first clue that something very strange is at play.

Teaming up with Sol, a disgruntled courier who's lost his wings; Toth, a hardened aerial mercenary; and Eohne, a brilliant Elven magician-inventor, Jordan embarks on a haphazard quest. Facing off with interfering barmaids, terrifying harpies, and a wicked prince with plans to destroy an entire nation is only the beginning.

Can Jordan find her mother and learn the truth about her disappearance? What happens when Jordan learns she is not who she thinks she is?

You will fall in love with these characters and wish the adventure would never end! Grab your copy, and fall through the portal today!

Sci readers take the leap this is good!

The reviews are accurate. Great story. Sci Fi reader tried this loved it! The authors must have fully storyboard all four books out for they mesh together like puzzle pieces coming together to form a solid fun, exciting story. My only regret is the story ended (but it ended well). I particularly like the fact that most of the time the authors left you guessing. This story you will not be able to guess if the butler did it in the pantry with candlestick. You just need to relax and join Jordy as she explores her new world. Wish I was with you all starting at the beginning. Enjoy!

What an amazing adventure!

Knorr has a real talent for storytelling. She knows how to build up to a point and how to build a real world. I enjoyed this adventure and would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Eragon. Dragons, elves, magic and flying! This adventure has something for everyone and was thrilled to see where the story went next. I hope she decides to revisit this world (or maybe she already has?).

Light, Funny, Entertaining

This is a great book to sit back, relax and enjoy. It is light, funny and very entertaining. It has romance, battles and great friendships. It has several great characters with plenty of witty banter between them. I love diving into other worldly magical places and seeing who or what resides there.

MONUMENTALLY IMPRESSIVE❣

My heart now takes up 90% of my chest and tears are in my eyes, my throat choked up. This epic series has finished as l turned the last page/listened to that last word. Oh it was a good and just ending, bittersweet really, as l was consumed with finding all there was to know yet dreading the end of a beautiful world that l felt l had been a part of. l remember waiting with baited breath as each book in the series was originally released only to be devoured and reread. No series since my childhood "the adventures of the wishing chair" had captured me so fully. Now l have just spent 31 hours over the last 2 weeks listening to the full series thanks to this box set and l can tell you l found so many things l had missed in book form. Maybe it was the impeccable voice of Mikael narrating in his calm way or the inflections of the way he does each character.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this series. They were an absolute pleasure.

Fun story

I loved the narration and different voices for the characters. This story was so good I listened every time I could! I even put in headphones while doing yard work. Although not unpredictable, I was always wanting to hear what was coming next.

Dragons and wings

This was a fun series and I appreciated that all books cane together. The books are one long story and it’s nice to listen to them back to back. The writing was very descriptive and detailed. I was given this series to listen to and chose to review on my own.

Incredible!

It took me about 10 chapters to get into this book. And once I did, I couldn’t put it down. An amazing world has been created that I wish I was a part of, the story telling had a few twists and although it has been amazingly finished, I want more!

Fantastic

These books are the very first books I read in the Oriceran Universe and fell in love with the characters, and then the Universe when I found out there was one.

When the boxed set became available on Audible, I got it straight away.

Mikael Naramore is a fantastic narrator and really did justice to the books.

Kacy has been brought up by her father as her mother disappeared when she was a young child. She arrived home for the holidays and her old nanny turned up unexpectedly and gave her a locket which belonged to her missing mother.

Sitting out by the old oak tree in the garden, she somehow opened a portal and this strange man appeared....... This is the start of a long journey from being a young, naive woman, to a feisty, independent warrior who saves her people and creates equality, and defeating a surprising enemy.

This is a great boxed set and well worth listening to (I've listened to it twice already :) )

Loved it!

I usually read the books before I listen to them, on this occasion I did it the other way around. I thoroughly enjoyed the series, I love fantasy stories and this one was brilliant. It had a fantastic mix of emotions all the way through, allowing you to get close to the characters and live the adventure through them in the best way. Moments of out loud laughter, excitement, romance, and intense battles all the way through, with twists and plenty of cliffhangers. Some parts you see coming, some you don’t, but that adds to the general quality and enjoyment of the books.
For anyone who ever wanted to fly as a child… Or an adult… This story is fantastic and all credit to the authors, producers and teams that were responsible for its production.
This review refers to the full box set audio, which is over 30 hours of listening… A testament to how much I enjoyed it as I have already heard it through twice! It is read well and at a nice pace, and it is always interesting to find out how some of the names and places are meant to be pronounced by the author when you read them!
I look forward to reading the books as well, and reading the spin-offs that are hinted at in the authors and producers notes.

Absolutely Amazing

I actually only got this book because I only had one credit and it was a long series but I am so glad I did. The authors did a great job I loved this series and the narration was amazing. I would definitely recommend this to any fantasy lovers out ther.

A great 32 hours spent travelling into magic

Well, I wasn’t sure for the first 2 hours. I think it was the narrator, he’s good at male voices, but I was less convinced by his female voices, but when I started to get a picture of Jordan in my head not based on her voice, I really got into it. The last book is the best, and I was very satisfied with the ending. It gave me enough to visualise their future....although of course, once you love characters, you always want more! Thank you for letting me drift into another world for a few days! Wonderful.

Almost good!

A mashup of overused tropes, overenthusiastic writing and uninspired characters.
I struggled through the first book as the previous reviews were so good, but was ultimately disappointed.

The main character has a lackluster storyline, gets too many lucky breaks, is at one point smart and well educated and suddenly for no reason a steriotypical dumb blond for no reason.

I was looking forward to a great story about a strong female protagonist that grows into her own power with a engaging and meaningful storyline. At the end of book one this certainly isn't that book.

Sadly I found myself amazed that I hadn't turned it off hours ago, but long car rides and nothing else to listen to prolonged the agony.

The Narrator has some amazing other works I would recommend you check out instead of this series. Specifically the Mobius Missions pack, black ocean series. Enjoy watching Ester become awesome.

May Mort be with you.
