Publisher's Summary

You never mess with a young girl around James Brownstone. It doesn't matter what crime syndicate you belong to, that just doesn't sit well with him.

The world has changed since the news of Oriceran came out 20 years before. Now, countries all over the world have agreed to using a bounty system for dangerous criminals using advanced magic or advanced technology. Magical criminals, thugs, and bounty hunters in the future, people too powerful for the cops to deal with, will revert to what worked in the past.

If you find out you are hunted by Brownstone, we suggest you turn yourself in. It will save you a monumental ass-kicking.

Brownstone likes his life simple, but life is about to throw him a wicked curveball.

Download and kick back for a fun, action-packed adventure that will have you yelling for the good guys and laughing at just how much Brownstone can infuriate Shay. And, how thoroughly Shay mystifies Brownstone.

Note: This book contains cursing - perhaps humorous cursing, but cursing nevertheless. If this offends you, I don't suggest listening to this book.

Rip Roaring Action!

Loved the Brownstone character from Page 1! The story was good and the tension between Shay and Brownstone... tantalizing! Toss in barbecue and WOW!

The story didn't stick with me.

I didn't keep thinking over the characters and the plot twists. Or the philosophy of the book

Very interesting start

Interesting premise and start to a series. It doesn’t have quite the edge or connection, for me, of Death Becomes Her, but I’m still engaged enough to want to see what happens next.
Yes, the author notes are part of the fun in this book.
Rudd does a great job with narration.

A great new series by Michael Anderle

No leather clad drop dead gorgeous gun kitten , this time it's monster with mad bounty hunting skills and a FORD F-350 Dualcab! Give it a try, you love it!

A New Start

Well Brownstone was an interesting new series, I rather enjoy the interaction between Shae and Brownstone. Also I am intrigued by seeing this new Drow.

Excellent

The story captures you from the very beginning till the end. It is both funny and exciting with the narrator making me believe t am listening to different people. This was very well done

Horrible Fairytale

If not for the profanity this would be a novel for children – not young adults. The characters are foolish and static. There is no story line. The female protagonist is an insult to female liberation and the male protagonist is a murderous scumbag but a really “good guy”. The narration is dreadful, childlike. The male characterisations sound like ogres who ate spools of barbed wire.

Brilliant

As always with MAs books, I enjoyed listening to the book, I like the characters and their dynamics. Although I like Brownstone I find him too thick headed sometimes but he's good at kicking-ass.
