Helped me recover from an eating disorder.

After losing a lot of weight after years of Weight Watchers and strict calorie/marconutrient counting, I'd completely lost touch with my body's hunger and fullness cues, nutritional needs and any food intuition whatsoever. I ended up developing an eating disorder. I tried other ways to help me get out of the diet rat race and get my life back, but this was the only one that seemed to make sense.

Let the audio fill your mind........

This audiobook contains emotional eating hypnosis which really made me evaluate how I was eating and made me see I needed to make changes. The publishers approach nutrition and weight loss in a new way that seems to make a lot of sense. I was apprehensive at first when I heard about their approach but after listening the audiobook I am working on their suggestions and feel better. This audiobook is about the process and enjoying the process. It's freeing and it's amazing how you'll end up looking at food. I am finally starting to feel like maybe I'll be able to get my eating under control after listening this audiobook.It has a lot of great advice for people trying to conquer their food issues.This audiobook is all about listening mindfully to your body. So If anyone in a cycle of restrictive eating and binging, this audiobook is a great assistant. Combine this with Brain Over Binge and you'll be on your way to recovery. Very enlightening.

It's a great idea and I have incorporated a lot ..

People hate counting and cutting calories. That unsurprising fact is behind the rise of ‘‘intuitive’’ eating, an approach that de-emphasizes dieting in favor of attending to bodily signals, like feelings of hunger and, more important, fullness. Despite an outpouring of related books and seminars, and the advocacy of some obesity specialists, intuitive eating — referred to by some as ‘‘mindful’’ eating — has not been subject to much independent scientific investigation. This audiobook offers one of the first head-to-head comparisons of the effectiveness of calorie restriction and intuitive eating. Thanks anyway.

Mindful eating

Mindful eating involves full awareness of one's eating, including the taste and texture of one's food, and generally slowing down the pace of one's eating. Proponents of mindful eating encourage people to remove all distractions, such as television, while eating, and refrain from multi-tasking, such as working while eating. This is the audiobook where you can get the real imaginatory idea of how the things anyone needs to follow and why the things needed as well.

Dieting is the Problem.

Very easy to understand with affirmative voice. It has changed my relationship with food for good, it has strengthened my self-esteem and has made me value and honor my body. I have stopped all bingeing episodes like magic, and my anxiety has disappeared.

Very helpful for this yo-yo dieter

I think my words won’t make justice to the greatness of this book. I’ve been someone who has struggled all of her life with weight, food and self-image.
This book opened my eyes to the chronic dieter I’ve become and the reasons why it didn’t matter how hard I restricted foods and exercised hard, I was continually putting on more weight on my body.
