Searching for a new home....

The Galahad, a faster-than-light spacecraft, carries 50 scientists and engineers on a mission to prepare Kepler 452b, Earth's nearest habitable neighbor at 1400 light years away. With Earth no longer habitable and the Mars colony slowly failing, they are humanity's best hope.

After 10 years in a failed cryogenic bed - body asleep, mind awake - William Chanokh's torture comes to an end as the fog clears, the hatch opens, and his friend and fellow hacker, Tom, greets him...by stabbing a screwdriver into his heart. This is the first time William dies.

It is not the last.

When he wakes from death, William discovers that all but one crew member - Capria Dixon - is either dead at Tom's hands, or has escaped to the surface of Kepler 452b. This dire situation is made worse when Tom attacks again - and is killed. Driven mad by a rare reaction to extended cryo-sleep, Tom hacked the Galahad's navigation system and locked the ship on a faster-than-light journey through the universe, destination: nowhere. Ever.

Mysteriously immortal, William is taken on a journey with no end, where he encounters solitary desperation, strange and violent lifeforms, a forbidden love, and the nature of reality itself.

...he discovers the infinite.

Jeremy Robinson, the master of fast-paced and highly original stories seamlessly blending elements of horror, science fiction, and thrillers, tackles his most ambitious subject matter to date: reality itself. An amalgam of the works of J.J. Abrams and Ridley Scott, Infinite is a bold science fiction novel exploring the vastness of space and a man's desire to exist, find love, and alter the course of his life.

Suprised this book isn’t more popular!

I just listened to this book in one sitting. As I finish it feels like I’m coming out of a trance back to reality. This book had me completely engrossed from start to finish, which is pretty rare for me these days. I’d highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys science fiction, horror, and thrillers and the books description details. I did find it to be predictable at times but that didn’t stop me from enjoying it.

OMG! Awesome Story

This book is amazing. I honestly think this has bumped my #1 book to #3. I've found my new #1 favorite book. If you like mind bending, action, love stories that play out over time. You'll love this book. Everything was outstanding IMO. The pace, the story telling, the performance. This is a must read.

Stunning!

What a powerful work and combination by Bray ( who is clearly at the top of his game now, and it shows in this offering ) and Robinson. A magnificent , sprawling and thoughtful offering.
An ideal book for SciFi fans, and anyone who enjoys complex, yet approachable speculative fiction. HIGHLY recommended!

"And then I woke up..."

the narrator as always was brilliant the story however was not up to Snuff. the problem is the author's ambition exceeded his talent. he wanted to use science fiction as a tour-de-force to explore the nature of reality.

I really enjoyed it till about halfway through at which point I realized we were just rehashing the same plot over and over with life of danger. at that point the book just began to struggle and the reading became a death march I reached chapter 37 and saw that there was 50 chapters in all. and I felt the despair eternity would be spent reading this book.
This is only the third book I've returned for a refund. thank you audible

Mind Blown

Wow there were a couple of things you can almost expect, but twists in ways you didn't. The rest were things we couldn't predict as like particular characters, but the tear jerking finale - wow. I love this author and his main narrators.

Infinitely the best story I have heard this year

Just wow! It has been some time since I have listened to a story as interesting as this one. The plot in this one revolves around the question of ‘what is reality?’ ‘Infinity’, kept me coming back to it whenever ‘my reality’ got in it the way, and sadly that happened to often… curse you reality!

I was drawn to this one first because of the narrator RC Bray. I have found he can make an average story better. He is a bit like Betty Butter who brought some butter, but the butter Betty brought was bitter, so Betty Butter put the bitter butter with the better butter and make the bitter butter better’. I’m sorry, like I said my reality is not the best!

Ok back to the narration. Bray once again knocks this one out of the park! The only thing with Bray is I like to turn his speed up a notch to 1.25x. The good news is that it doesn’t affect the length of this one to much as it is over 10 hours in length. Thus offering great dollar per hour value. And let’s not forget that the story is that good! It just adds to the value! I will definitely be looking for other titles by Jeremy Robinson.

This is one of those titles that the blurb doesn’t do it justice. The blurb is correct in everything that is written, but the story comes alive and has so many different nuances running through it science friction – love – horror (although not much – so don’t be put off if that isn’t your thing). One of the greatest parts to the story is the reflections upon the humankind.

The normally restricted to zombie titled fatman is giving this one the full Monty! This one rocks! picture a fatman with no clothes on dancing with two thumbs held high in the air going ‘heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey’… That is how excited I felt when reading this one.

PS. Some people have tracked me on the good old inter webs and asked if I receive free copies of the titles I review, or if I get paid for reviews. I can say beyond any shadow of doubt, the answer is no I have not. Some authors have offered, but I have said no.
