Even as one challenge is dealt with, a greater threat appears.

Now, Silas finds himself adrift in the multiverse, but this is exactly the sort of adventure he's been longing for. There are monsters to slay, crafting to be done, and friends to make.

I like these books and for the most part the overall story but the combat narratives have taken way, WAY too much of the story. Theres now WAY too many characters, sidekicks, personalities to care about them all or to even keep track.
I gave up on many of the various subplots a while ago but now as he introduces new ones its rather frustrating because he hasn't closed others and now its becoming a spreadsheet of items you either have to say "okay so that other quest was filler or am I needing g to remember that 2 books from now?"
Theres a real need at this point that book 11 had best be a fighting of thw knot of the story or this is a going to be a ball of string no one will be able to unravel.

Too much combat
